What types of customers have you worked with?
We work with all types of cats, even if your cat is very aggressive during grooming we will do our best to groom them to the owners specifications in a safe and caring manner. We only ask that each cat has a current rabies vaccination in case the cat does manage to bite the groomer.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
We groom many cats that other groomers and vets will not groom. Many of them are old and matted. The owners of these cats just want their cat to be comfortable for whatever time they have left. We take extra time with these cats to ensure their safety during the groom. As a cat gets older, just like people their skin gets very thin and is easily cut with the clippers. These cats take a lot of extra time and patience to groom them safely, we take that time.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
Make sure that the groomer has the experience in handling cats of all temperments. I get calls all the time that the groomer they had hired refused their cat because it showed some sort of aggression. It is important that your groomer knows how to handle all types of cats, not just the nice ones.
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
What type of grooming you would like to have done, but be ready for the style to be not exactly what you want. Sometimes we can't do exactly what the owner wants due to matting or age. Be a little flexible.
How much are you expecting to spend getting your cat groomed. It can be expensive for certain types of shaves.
Most importantly, what is best for your cat.
