About

My name is Jason Morris. I have been involved in residential constuction for most of my life. My Dad was a plumber, my Uncle a drywaller/ painter and my Grandfather was a concrete man. I was born and raised with hammer or paint brush in my hand.

I moved to the Dallas area in 2001 and got a job building new homes. I built new homes for 17 years with various builders through the metroplex. Over those 17 yrs I developed a good sense for homeowners expectation and what steps needed to be followed to get to the end of a project with everyone smiling.

Clean, on time and under budget. 99% of the time if you succeed on those three things everyone will be smiling at the end. Here at BT construction we make those three our number 1 priority and it shows in the referrals and good reviews we receive.

I enjoy knowing that I played a small part in helping better someone's situation. Whether it installing ceiling fan or adding an addition onto an existing house, there is always as sense of satisfaction for a job well done.

Jason and the guys at BTC exceeded all my expectations on my new kitchen. Jason was very helpful when it came to helping me figure out the best design for my kitchen. In two weeks I had the kitchen of my dreams. Now I cant wait to get BTC back to tackle my bathrooms.

Frequently asked questions

The process starts with a phone call to briefly discuss the scope of work, desired time frame and location. Assuming everyone on the same page an appointment to meet at the property will be scheduled during this phone call.

The next, and probably the most important, step is  meeting at the property to discuss the scope of work. Depending on how big the project is this meeting could be 20 mins or 3 hrs. It is important for the client to discuss everything they want to do because an estimate will be produced from this meeting. Depending on the scope of work an estimate may be given on the spot but more than likely the info will be taken back to the office and an estimate will be sent over via email within 24 hrs.

A phone call will be made to review the estimate in detail and assuming everyone  agrees on everything a tentative start date will be scheduled. Typically jobs are about two weeks out  from the time the estimate is accepted. This means if the estimate is accepted on the 1st the start date should fall around the 15th. A call will be made to the client the following week to reconfirm start date. A final call with be made a day or two before start date to make sure everything is still good to go.

Once the project starts, assuming there are no delays do to weather or back ordered material, work should happen everyday until complete. The client will receive a call or will be told on site every morning what should take place that day and then again at the end of the day letting them know what happened and what is scheduled for the next day. This process will continue until the project is complete.

I was born and raised in construction. My Dad was a master plumber. My Uncle owned a paint and drywall company. My grand father was a concrete superintendent.

I graduated from Texas Tech with a degree in Construction Management. I started my first construction company, Allied Construction, in 1998.  I closed the doors to Allied Construction in 2002 due. To due to the market downturn after 9/11 and relocated to Dallas.  I started a career as a construction manager for a local Dallas home builder. For the next 17 years I continued working for several builders throughout DFW. In 2018 I decided it was time to go back into business for myself.

Every job is different so it is hard to have a set price for anything. For example Installing a new front door unit starts at $300. Then it depends on factor like the condition of the interior and exterior trim. Is it reusable or does it need to be replaced. What condition is the frame in, is there water damage, etc. Due to various reasons 99% of the time someone will need to see the work prior to giving a firm estimate
