6 days ago-Ed is one of those rare breed companines that does not believe in a sell and leave mentality. He conducts himself and his work with a full trust that quality of work and focus on his customers will naturally result in a life long customer. I wouldn’t dream of using another contractor as long as he is in the profession.

5 days ago-DES has done high quality commercial work for our company and our clients for years, and they also did a wonderful job when we remodeled our kitchen. Edwards experience shows during his consultation and guidance before the job even starts. Couple that with work done right and on time and that makes using DES an easy decision. We highly recommend DES to anyone that needs a top quality commercial or residential electrical contractor.

Frequently asked questions

Come in, meet the dog, or even the cat if they deign to let me. Take a look at the job and get feed back about what happened, when, and why. I'm like a doctor; the more you tell me about what happened the easier it is to ascertain the problem. Maybe tell some jokes and get the problem solved. Or if you just need a cost for a project to do all of the above and then provide a cost.

35 years of electrical work in several different aspects of the business. From houses to ballfields to hospitals. I do a four continuing education class every year. Oh, and I have Masters license as well as my Contractors license, too! On the serious side. I carry 3 million in liability insurance and workers comp insurance.

$125 for the first hour and billed every 15 minutes after that. Most calls are done in the first hour. Unless someone else tried to fix it first!

A long time ago I graduated high school. And I needed a job! My dad worked as an electrician for years before become a collage math teacher, so I had some knowledge. I got a job wiring Fox & Jacobs homes and went from there to hospitals and on from there. And here I am today, meeting new people and having fun solving electrical problems.

Fat ones, skinny ones, ones who climb on rocks. And I can spell bolonga! I do have to sing the song for that one. I've worked, and work, with home owners, business owners, building management, airports, air craft hangers, medical... If someone has power, there is a good chance I've worked with them.

Just finished a pergola on a new patio. Took a couple of days. The homeowner wanted to help run pipe and pull wire, so, ok. We had a good time and i showed him some tricks of the trade to make things easier.

Look at the cost per kilowatt/hour. And due some diligence on any hidden rates. Some don't have transportation included in the advertised price. Then it shows up on the bill. Not illegal to do that, but I find that distasteful. But a few questions and some research can help with that.

It helps us if you know what you want. But if you're looking for advice on lighting design and don't have a clue, that's ok. Just say that up front and I'll ask questions of my own to get a feel for what you are thinking. And then we can make it happen. You should always know what it should look like finished, before you start! And never hesitant to call stop if you're not sure what is going on. It's your project; and your money!
