I obtained a BA in Set Design and went onto my MFA where I graduated top of my class for Interior Architecture and Design. Since then, I have worked for international firms in Boston and Austin Texas, where I currently reside.

I love working with clients from beginning to end: developing concepts, sketching ideas, pulling samples and the creating the final wow factor.

One of the great things about design, is that the project goes through phases, and I love the variety. I love meeting with clients and understanding their needs and wants, composing plans and elevations, doing 3D renderings, shopping for finish samples, doing board layouts and of course, seeing the final installed application!

Marie was one of the most dedicated students Ive ever had the pleasure of having class with. She was always engaged, devoted, and diligent about her work; and had a very thoughtful approach to her design. Not only did Marie excel as a designer, but she is also lovely and always maintained a positive attitude.

I studied with Marie in graduate school and have enjoyed her friendship in the industry ever since. Marie, an absolute perfectionist, gives her all to her designs. Her organizational skills and strong work ethic make her a highly valuable designer and team player.

Marie was a very diligent and hard working student who took her studies while attending the Academy of Art University very seriously. She was always prepared for our class meetings, and was eager to learn how to make her already good work even better. It was a pleasure to work with her in class. She is an outstanding new addition to the design profession.

For smaller projects, I operate on a flat fee. For larger scale projects, I work on an hourly rate.

I believe I was always intended to do interior design. After exploring various size firms and project emphasis, I decided I wanted to work more one-on-one with clients who are invested in their projects; projects that are personal to the user.

I have worked with high-end and rehab clients in a variety of project types: multi-family, hospitality, retail, commercial, senior living and residential.

So many "designers" with their own firm are not professionally trained. Technically, they are merely decorators. Be sure to hire someone who has a degree. You are more likely have better, longer term, results.

Do you have an accredited degree in design? How long have you been working in the field? Do you have references? How is your billing set up? How many revisions are included? What if a finish is discontinued before ordering? What are typical lead times on finishes, furniture and appliances? Will I be working directly with you or someone on your team?
