What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Receiving a call from client, discussing behavioral issues and other concerns with client, setting up a date for the session, look up back ground information and history on breed to prepare and create activities that can be applied to daily routine, prefer that the whole household is present, sessions are held on location so I may observe the family interaction with the dog and see how they handle situations plus their knowledge of how to communicate with the canine. Then I will explain, demonstrate and teach hands-on with the family so they can practice and improve handling skills, build confidence in themselves and understand the importance of creating Unity in order to raise the perfect family dog.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have worked with dogs and their owners over a period of 6years, was a dog bather at Petsmart and was interested in becoming a dog trainer, but notice that trainers were using treats to bribe the animal. There was no real bond or connection between owner and canine. I then quit my job and self taught, study, applied what I had learned to my own dogs, began observing how dogs interact with each other, build a Pack of 19 dogs, learned how to raise puppies by watching, understanding dog psychology and learned how to use body language to communicate without speech.
