Adette has a bachelors degree in Biology from the University of New Mexico and is co-founder of I Once Was Lost Animal Advocacy. She spends her time caring for the guests at Chuckling Hound as well as running I Once Was Lost Animal Advocacy. She was formerly the chair for the Public Awareness group for Town Lake Animal Shelter created to raise awareness to help Austin become a No Kill City. Over the past three years, Adette and her co-founder have rescued, spayed/neutered, medically and emotionally treated and found loving homes for over 70 dogs. Adette owned a successful pet sitting service in the Austin area for 9 years. She has hundreds of very satisfied clients as well as many cat and dog friends whom she loved and cared for with all her heart.
