Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
1. Listen-The first thing that I do when taking on a new client is listen to their wants and desires when it comes to buying or selling.
2. Access- I am here to help you make the best decisions possible when it comes to Real Estate. Nothing pleases me more than to put my more than 20 years of experience to use for your good.
3. Communicate-This is one of the largest transactions most people make in their lives. I strive to communicate with you the way you want to be communicated with (text, email, phone call) and to keep you in the loop where ever we are in the process.
4. Follow Through- This step is just as important as the rest. whether you are buying or selling you want someone who is going to "walk their talk". If I tell you XYZ then you can be rest assured we will do everything in our power to make XYZ happen so that all you have to do is show up at the closing table.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am fluent in Spanish (which is about 30% of our poplulation here in the Dallas area ) and have several Real Estate accredidations to my name. I am Relocation Certified, have my SFR and my Luxury Certification. Put my experience to work for you...you will be happy you did!
Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.
If you are a buyer our fee is payed by the seller so you owe us nothing.
If you are a seller, our pricing is taylor fit to each individual. Everyone has different needs for their home sale and we walk you through what will best fit your needs to sell your home for top dollar.
How did you get started in this business?
I was originally in Law school and, while a student, got pregnant with my daughter. I made the decision that family was more important than a law degree and jumped head first into Real Estate. That was more than 20 years ago and I have never looked back.
What types of customers have you worked with?
I have worked with all kinds of customers over the years. Chances are that if it has happened in Real Estate I have seen it. I have worked with probate customers, divorce, receiverships, heirships, short sales, foreclosures, luxury homes, and of course traditional buy and sale Real Estate.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
Recently I helped a custom home builder sell his first home. We ended up brining the buyer to the table as well. The buyer was a retired Vetran who just fell in love with the home. We connected him with a lender who traveled to the buyer for their meetings and even our title company went to meet with this disabled Vet. Bottom line, everyone jumped in and did what needed to be done to help this gentleman see his dream become a reality. Our seller was over the moon happy that this was the buyer for the home he had built. This closing ended in a beautiful Win Win situation that ended with smiles and all around.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
Do your homework! Not all agents are created equal. A home is one of the largest investments you make in your life. Don't sell yourself short.
There are a difference in buyer's agents. There are tricks to getting a seller to choose your offer over another offer when there are multiple offer situations.
When you are a seller...Think about this...is the least expensive agent going to fight for your money if they are not willing to fight for their own? What are you getting for your money when you sell your home?
And, always focus on the money that remains in your pocket at the endo f the transaction. Don't get caught up in small numbers at the beginning. Focus on the big picture and choose and agent (hopefully me) that will help you look at the big picture.
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
What are your must haves or non-negotiables? Also, a good Realtor is going to walk you through questions to consider. Remember, you are hiring an expert...you should not have to feel like you have to remember everything. When you choose to work with us we will make sure you are aware of the things you need to know so that you can make informed decisions each step of the way.
