What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We like to meet in person to discuss the client’s wants and needs. Then we build a plan that works best for them.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
We have been in the business for 10 years and have had many hours of continued education. I extended my knowledge 2 years ago by taking a course and passing the exam needed to become a licensed real estate broker.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.
When we list a property I will do an onsite visit and discuss the property and it’s features with the homeowner. Once I finish I take what I’ve learned and do the research needed to price the home appropriately. We want to make sure that every home is priced correctly so that the homeowner gets the most they can out of it and in the quickest amount of time.
How did you get started in this business?
I became interested in selling real estate when my wife and I were looking for our first home. I’m glad I pursued it because there is nothing I would rather be doing.
What types of customers have you worked with?
We have worked with clients in every different walk of life. We work with clients with budgets between 40,000 all the way up to 1,000,000+
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
We recently had a client that was selling his home and buying another home. He had an issue come up where he was mislead by a local car dealership and the situation put him at risk of being able to qualify for his new home. We were able to find a solution and get both of his transactions closed for him. He and his family was very happy.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
We recommend discussing all the details of what the pro is offering for their fee. Not all real estate agents offer the same services. We offer more services and at the same price as most of our competitors. We also don’t charge extra for our extra services. Some agents will charge and extra fee on top of the commission paid by their seller clients.
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
Seller clients really need to know how their pro plans on marketing their home. A lot of agents will say they’re going to advertise but, how will they do it and what results have they seen? How many people does their advertisements reach on average? How many eyes can they get to see your home and what creative ways can they achieve this?
Buyer clients should ask how their agent will help them locate and get their new home under contract? Also, what will they do to help the buyer from contract to close? What does the agent do to protect them within the contract and what negotiation tactics do they have that will help them during the process?
