I am an outdoor person that likes to garden so doing landscapes and yards is the best of both worlds. Helping others maintain and create their own personal outdoor space is an added bonus.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
The first thing would be to become aquainted with the customer and their landscaping needs. I always schedule an appointment to come out and review the work that needs to be completed so that the customer and myself know exactly what is required of the process and options for the customer.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have over 5 years of work experience with landscaping and over 10 years removing debris. I have been doing handyman work for the past two years.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.
The standard pricing system for landscaping depends totally on the size of the yard and the scope of the work that needs to be done. Base price for JUST grass cutting starts at $40. The standard pricing for debris removal is $150 for one truck AND trailer load of yard debris (leaves, grass, pinestraw, tree limbs, etc.) Larger items (household goods) start at $45 for ONE(1) piece. Trash outs (clearing of the inside of properties) totally depends on the size of the dwelling. Base price for trash outs start at $350.
How did you get started in this business?
My landscaping business started as a hobby for my close family members. After purchasing of some professional grade equipment and word of mouth advertising, I was able to grow the business outside of my existing network of clients.
What types of customers have you worked with?
I have accounts with realtors, homeowners and I also have a couple of commercial properties.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I just completed a landscaping job for a property that was 25 acres. The job required mowing, installing pine straw, tree trimming and debris removal. The project needed to be completed in a short period of time and i was able to get it taken care of before the photo shoot for listing the house.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
Make sure the potential company you hire gets to know your needs in order that you receive the outcome you are requesting. Also, make sure you get things in writing. The customer should be presented with an official estimate or invoice to prevent any discrepancies.
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
The customer should always think about the time frame that is offered and make sure it coinsides with theirs and in conjuction with that the budget should also be thought about when looking for these types of services.
