About

Meet Charleston textile designer, Emily Daws. Her current collection of textiles is inspired by the beautiful city of Charleston SC, where she and her husband reside. Using her background in sewing and running a small workroom locally, along with her degree in textiles and merchandising, this collection of linens and made-to-order decor has been a labor of love. From the Cobblestone streets downtown to the beaches of Seabrook, each pattern represents iconic pieces of the Holy City. The subtle stories behind each pattern help to make the collection unique, creating an aesthetic that is appreciated well beyond the city limits. Her textiles are digitally printed in the south and each item is made locally in the Charleston workroom. We love working with our clients on custom projects and look forward to helping you make your house a home.

Our most popular offerings include:

Cutom draperies, Roman shades, woven wood shades, drapery hardware, throw pillows, bedding, shower curtains, wallpaper and fabric by the yard. We offer in-home design services as well as installation. Emily’s textile design studio and sewing workroom is located on the heart of Mount Pleasant and open by appointment only.

    Frequently asked questions

I like to start with a brief conversation either by phone or email about what projects my client is looking to have completed.  After discussing options, I am able to give a generalized quote and timeline.  After their initial approval, I like to schedule an in-home design consultation to take needed measurements and share swatches and fabric choices.  If necessary, the quote is revised, deposit is received and I begin my work on the order.  Installation is scheduled and final payment is due upon completion.

Bachelors degree in Textiles, Apparel and Merchandising from WVU.  Studied design abroad in Milan, Italy after graduating in 2007.  With a background in dressmaking, I have had my bridal collections featured in Charleston Fashion Week as well as sold regionally in stores throughout the south.

Worked as a design associate at Celadon Home 2014-15. Attended the Custom Workroom conference in 2016.  Products have been featured on Anthropologie.com and sold nation wide through our retail partners.  My textiles have been in the pages of Better Homes and Gardens, HGTV Magazine, Charleston Magazine, Apartment Therapy, Houzz and the Scout Guide.

Pricing varies greatly depending on project measurements and chosen materials.  I can give generalized quotes after receiving basic information.
