Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I begin with learning as much as possible about the pet, the owner/family, and the home environment. For training the more I can learn about the daily routine and the environment as a whole the better. Then make a plan with goals to achieve what the customer is looking for.
A grooming customer I would learn about the pet such as breed, age and weight special circumstance etc. Also about the owner the type of grooming that would suit them. Then discuss scheduling and travel arrangements.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a certification in Pet Grooming since 1999.
Certified in Basic Obedience Training since 1999
Certified in Animal Behavior since 2000
23yrs experience working as a Pet Groomer/Trainer

How did you get started in this business?
At a very young age at home with my own pets and then at a pet store franchise as a cashier then bather in grooming department.
What types of customers have you worked with?
Many different from very specific instructions to none at all.
Very knowledged pet owners to novice.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
First Groom on a puppy I love to be able to introduce them to grooming and make it positive since they will need a lifetime of it.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
Make sure that they ask lots of questions. It's always good to get a resonable price but too low can be worrisome and too high can be unreasonable dont be afraid to price shop and ask lots of questions yourself they should be more than happy to help with your inquiries.
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
How far is it?
How much is it?
Do they have experience?
Can they accomidate my pet?
Are they asking and answering questions?
