What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Phone discussion and/or e-mail of clients needs. This will hel.p us pack revelant fabrics, samples, etc. Then set-up an initial in-home consultation.
We can pick colors, staart space planning and direction of project on this consultation.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Graduated Temple University with a BA in Business Administration specializing in Human Resources, then went on to Sheffield School of Design, New York, NY
Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.
Initial in-home consultation is $175.00. During that session we decide whether you would like to continue with flat hourly rate or mark-up on future purchases pertaining to your project.
How did you get started in this business?
Attended college for Business and allways had a knack for design.
After working as a Personnel Manager for an Engineering Firm for 10 years, I went back to school to prusue a degree in Design.
What types of customers have you worked with?
Mostly homeowners wanting that extra help or another sounding board. Not always the female of the household. We have worked for customers that are very wealthy to modest incomes, people from very diversified socially economical backgrounds
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
Receiving an award from a local Designer Showcase House, where we redesigned a young woman's bedroom.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
When hiring an interior designer make sure you connect with that person. You do not need a new friend, but repur is very important.
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
Because design is so abstract it is a great idea to do a little soul searching as to what you would like the space to say when completed. The designers job is to get you there.
Remember this is your space, not the designers.
An honest budget for the project is always a plus.
