Sara's Dog Sitting & Walking
About
I am an avid dog and animal lover. I was raised with a dog in our home my entire life and when I moved into my own home, I got my dream of having more than one dog so I now own three and they are my furbabies!
I am 25 years old, I have a 1 year old baby, I am currently expecting twins in July 2019 and I have 3 furbabies! Sady, a German Shepherd/Pitbull Mix, is approx. 5 years old - Dixie, a Redbone/Bluetick Coonhound, who is approx. 4 years old and Remington (Remy), a German Shepherd/Rottweiler mix who is approx. 3 years old!
I am a stay at home Mom and enjoy dogs more than people. I am currently becoming certified in Handwriting Analysis - Graphology and then will be starting my own business in that. I hope to always be able to work with dogs whether it is one walk a week or 3 walks a day or going and providing companionship for a furbaby with a busy owner!
In my spare time, I volunteer and help dog owners find their lost dogs, I provide valuable information for people seeking help to understand their dogs and I am awaiting an email from Washington County Humane Society as to when I can start doing "photo shoots" to help and get dogs and cats adopted into loving and caring homes! I have rescued feral/stray cats on top of all else and nursed them and their kittens back to help and in return I have always received a full feeling in my heart.
I have worked part time at Camp Bow Wow in the past and have passed their certifications for taking care of dogs and knowing what to do in emergency situations such as bloat!
Please feel free to contact me and we can setup a day and time to meet and discuss how I can help you and your furbabies!

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Once you contact me, I may ask you questions in regards to how I can help you including what animals you need help caring for (walking, sitting, and some training) and I will ask if you would like to setup an appointment so we can discuss further and you can meet me in person!
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
-Dog Owner (my entire life)
-Camp Bow Wow Course and Certification
-Self Taught Knowledge from working with dogs, reading as much as possible and volunteering!
Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.
I will provide a fair and affordable rate depending on what you need, how many dogs or animals you need help with, and your distance from my home. For example, if you need me to take your dog for a walk while you are at work two days per week and once each of those days for an hour (minimum) each walk and play session, and you only live 5 miles away; I may charge $50-$60 per week.
I will work with you so we can agree on a fair rate that is beneficial to you and I both!
How did you get started in this business?
I am a dog lover by nature, it is a passion for me and so I enjoy doing this!
What types of customers have you worked with?
-I have walked dogs for busy customers who love their furbabies as much as I love mine but still need to pay bills and want to give their dogs companionship while they are at work.
-I have worked with "special needs" and/or elderly dogs who were having issues and the owner needed help taking care of their furbabies.
-I have provided walks and companionship along with in home dog sitting while my customer worked in the oilfield and further when he needed to go home to TX for vacations with his family and didn't want to put his dog through the stress of travel!
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I recently helped to spread the word about a dog who was missing and ended up being found in an inhumane trap. I provided my trail camera, I stayed in constant contact with his owner and I helped raise the money he needed for his amputation!
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
Make sure whoever you hire - whether it is myself or another - that the person is truly an animal lover and that taking good care of your furbabies is the priority rather than making money! Making money doing what you love is great but I have unfortunately heard of some people taking advantage of owners who trust them with their furbabies. Also, make sure they are fully capable of handling your dog(s) as I deal with missing/lost dogs on a nearly daily basis (I volunteer my time to help.) and sadly inexperience seems to be the issue in most cases when dogs "get loose". I have never had any dog get away or slip a lead while in my care!
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
Why are you seeking help for your furbaby?
How will hiring someone to spend time or further care for your furbaby make a difference in your life?
What type of person is your furbaby going to be happiest and most comfortable with?
What type of help and how much help do you truly want and more importantly - how much do you and your furbaby (or furbabies) need?
