About
Hi! I’m Dayna and I started my dog training career in 2006 by volunteering in a shelter and fostering dogs, to save them from euthanasia. I’ve been a certified professional dog trainer since 2010 and have helped thousands of dogs and their caregivers live better lives by keeping families together.
I specialize in working with dogs with complex behavior issues such as fearfulness, reactivity, hyperarousal & aggression. I use dog-and-human-friendly techniques to guarantee improvement after just one session.

To begin, I simply Googled dog trainers close to me. Id never heard of HomeGuide. The time it took to get my first two responses were so quick! Then a third, followed by a fourth. The pay scale was comparable. I chose the first two. Hey, when you go to college do you have just one professor?
Dayna, the trainer who owns Taking the Lead, is excellent! She has an incredible rapport with dogs. She lives and breathes for them! Has a day job in a shelter! Thirteen years of experience under her belt. Not impressed yet? Ill end by saying shes the female version of Ceasar Milan!
