Rocky K9 Training
About
Hi! My name is Shanti Panza! And I absolutely love animals, especially dogs!! I am a certified pet trainer and I am passionate about providing affordable training to Philadelphians in an effort to keep families together!! My journey started rehabilitating rescue dogs in order to make them “adoptable”. I kept wondering why it got to that point! Why not work on the issues before they get out of hand and owners feel as though their only option is to surrender their pet? Why not PREVENT issues before they even arise with proper training?!? Then, I arrived at my conclusion:
People don’t seek training until they actually HAVE A PROBLEM! Then, it gets too expensive and difficult to “fix” it. So many families unfortunately turn to surrendering to shelters.
🔆My goal here is to :
✅educate people on dogs in a holistic and well rounded approach.
✅work with owners to create strong bonds from the moment they get a dog
✅promote early education and manners to PREVENT undesirable behaviors
✅create healthier relationships between dogs and humans in my community
✅make training affordable and ACCESSIBLE!!!

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I start out talking to clients about their needs over the phone or through chat. Then We would start out with an initial evaluation to set up a training program that fits that specific client's needs! Everything is catered to each individual dog and what we need to achieve the owner's goals!
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have completed multiple courses with accredited animal training and behavior educational institutions like Karen Pryor courses and have a certification. I also have years of experience working with k9s
Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.
I have a base price for private and group sessions but the price varies according to each individual case. However, I do have set pricing for the different categories of training work I do. Ex puppy training versus behavior modification or working with a reactive dog.
What types of customers have you worked with?
I work with a wide variety of needs! Anywhere from puppy training and obedience to behavior modification!
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I have been working with a highly anxious and reactive pup. And after a few weeks, the owner sent me a message with video attachments of this pup perfectly executing one of the complex commands we were working on with the caption "GAME CHANGER!" This made my heart so happy! The owner expressed how much happier the puppy seemed and how much more relaxed! I am in this for the heartwarming game changer moments like these!
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
Be 100% honest about your concerns and your dog's behavior. I am here to help not judge! It's best we lay it all out so we can start tackling issues before they escalate. We got you!
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
Do you have specific goals? What are they? What are problem areas you would like to work on? What commands does your dog know?
