What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Training begins with an in home evaluation to gain an understanding of the needs of the client and the issues as they perceive them. I base training off of the dogs ability to achieve success; having knowledge of each breed and their capabilities is very important .
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Graduate of Penn Foster; Certified Dog Trainer with Advanced Obedience. Team Dog Certified in the following areas ; Foundation Training , Basic Obedience , Behavior Modification.I recently have received my certification in lease reactivity
Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.
Basic Obedience 5 classes $275.00; travel 25 miles. Special consideration for travel outside of 25 miles with travel expense clients responsibility .
What types of customers have you worked with?
First responders, police, fireman, local business men and women who desire a well trained companion. Neighbors, friends and their families who desire a well trained dog or dogs.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
Repeat customers who desire advanced obedience training . Returning to see the dog and how they and their owners have grown together. Seeing how committed an owner is to the success of their dog is rewarding .
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
The first step is to talk with a trainer , understanding their training techniques to ensure their dog training style matches what you are looking for. Training techniques differ among dog trainers and contracting with one with adverse beliefs of the owner will create confusion for any dog .
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
Consider the breed of the dog and are their desires for the pet realistic ?
What long term benefits are they looking for with training of their dog ?
