Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We will discuss what services are needed, set a price, set a time and place (either I can come to you or you to me!), and we will meet on our set day and perform the groom or bath for your cat or dog!
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have my pet grooming Certificate through Penn Foster.
I am Insured for pet grooming for everyone's safety.
I also work for Petco Grooming but have begun my own business.
I am pet safety and CPR certified through the American Red Cross.
2 years professional bathing and grooming experience.
I am in school at Excelsior College for my BS in Biology and also at Penn Foster for my AS in Veterinary Technology, and plan to have my grooming business carry me through all that, and into graduate school for veterinary medicine!
22 years of experience caring for animals in general.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.
It will depend for sure on size, and pets need. I do groom both cats and dogs, and occasionally bunnies. I am very honest, will teach you certain you and tricks to keep you out of the groomers as much as possible to save you money instead of making you spend! The pets safety and well is my goal, and I want pet parents to be as educated as possible! My prices are beyond fair! I promise you'll be more than happy with whatever we agree upon.
How did you get started in this business?
I began professionally bathing, and working alongside groomers. I am an artist naturally, so I watched them say in and day at with a deep longing to artfully style pets.
What types of customers have you worked with?
All types, both rich, and poor, young and old, stern and bubbly! I don't look at customers as just customers. They are people, humans, with feelings, needs, and concerns, all of which I am sure to address.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
Anytime I'm working with a pet, with my three year old having fun everyday, or working at school work, I am happy as ever!
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
Look for someone that will educate you in your pets needs and what you need to do as maintenance between grooms, and someone that is asking questions about your pets skin care and general health needs before the groom. You need someone that is interested in you and your pet, not the money. And look for someone that isn't trying to set the price at the maximum you set your limit for, and look for someone offer a lot of services with their grooms! For instance all of my grooms or baths include nail clipping, ear cleaning, blow drying, brushing, scented essential oil pet coat mist paired with your pets skin care needs, and a bow or bandana. Anal glands, teeth brushing, and Dremel filing the clipped nails can all be added together for an additional $15
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
Do they seem to care about my pet their needs?
Did they ask appropriate health and grooming questions?
Did the price set seem to reach my maximum limit or no?
Are they rendering many services within that price?
Are they kind?
Do they seem relatable, realistic, yet still manage to be professional?
