Nicole has trained our Siberian husky, Maya since we brought her home and has done amazing job with her. To this day when we go away, Maya will go and stay with Nicole and remembers her. She loves learning, playing with her friends and getting lots of exercise and TLC. Nicole as always treated Maya like she was her very own, with lots of love, attention and good training skills. Keep up the great work Nicole. Maya and I are super thankful for all you have done for her.

This is my second dog (“Nikki”) trained by Nicole Buck. I sent her for the 2 week board and train. Nikki came back so well behaved, just like my first dog did. So many people ask me when we are out walking - how did I get my dogs to behave so well? They are so obedient - and I tell them: Buck’s Dog Training! Thanks, Nicole!

Nicole and Tim were very professional. They are not only the best trainer's but also Love your Dog as much as you do. I felt very comfortable when my Dog Buddie was in there care. He learned so much from both of them. I want to Thank them both for all their help.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

We usually discuss their needs over the phone or live via a home visit or they can stop by our Mantua, NJ facility with their dog for an assessment so we can recommend the best training package.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I have a Bachelors degree in Psychology and over 20 years work experience including shadowing several different types of trainers.

Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.

We try to stay competitive with other reputable dog trainers in our geographic area.

How did you get started in this business?

I had an aggressive dog I adopted from a shelter and I refused to just give up on her.  So thus began my journey into dog training and behavior modification in order to rehabilitate her so she could have a happy life.

What types of customers have you worked with?

We do not discriminate.  We will work with anyone who wants to have a better relationship with their dog.  The only we ask is that they be willing to follow through and keep up with the lessons learned.

Describe a recent event you are fond of.

I had a yellow lab in for service dog training named Maddie.  He was very challenging to teach out to pick up and carry things for his handler.  I also had to teach him to open and close doors, pull socks off and help drop things onto a counter if needed.  It took lots of patience but the joy on Maddie when he finally understood what was being asked of him.  There is nothing like a dog who is so joyful at having a job and loving it.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?

Do you research, check references and make sure you agree with their training methodology and philosophy.

What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?

How much time do they have to dedicate to training?

How dedicated are they to getting the desired results?
