Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
As the owner of Mastodon Builds LLC, I like to meet each customer personally. Together, we will review the details of your project and decide on a plan of action. I know your eager and excited to get your project started as soon as possible.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
In 1999, I started as a laborer in the construction industry and my passion grew from there. It is even stronger today, as I enjoy building and learning as much as possible about the industry. I have experience in excavating, paving, site work, utilities, concrete, storm water management, among many others. Projects have ranged from $500 - $1 million projects. Each project is treated the same, with my utmost attention to detail and pricision in making sure that everything I build lasts.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.
There is not a standardized price for the services I provide since each project varies depending on the size of the project, volume of materials, equipment needed for the project, and the amount of labor needed to complete the job.
How did you get started in this business?
It all started with my passion for the outdoors. This industry allows me to enjoy what I love most. It is just that simple. Wish I had some big elaborate story for you! LOL.
What types of customers have you worked with?
I have experiences with large state highway, borough and local municipalities as well as the homeowner, whom I would prefer to work with.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
Talk to them, ask lots of questions, communication is key! Try to get to know as much about them as you can since these people will be working around your home!!
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
Research your ideas. Especially if it's a new project and talk to your local township to be sure that what you're looking to do will be approved.
Educate yourself on the process ahead of time just to know what you're up against. Talk to your friends, family and or your neighbors about their experiences with similar projects.
