About
Hi there, Jess here! I'm the owner of The Furry GodParents LLC; a full pet service. I've grown up with large breeds in my home, like German Shepherds, Rottweilers, and Labradors; so I can care for any pet big or small.
I do also help with sitting and boarding. Whether you're at work all day and need a quick check - in, or gone on a weekend trip or long vacation, your fur babies are in excellent care. I will work with your schedule as we see fit to ensure quality service.
I strongly suggest a Meet-and-Greet so you can see the passion I have beforehand! We will discuss goals, responsibilities, frequency of walks/ care, and more.
I am looking forward to meeting you and your fur family! Thank you for considering me for the opportunity to love your pets as much as you do!
- Jessica
I think the most important aspect of what I do is being able to service the community. Dogs are considered man's best friend for a reason, and I feel no different. Hanging out with pets take all the stresses away of the everyday life-even if it's for only a short period of time. Pets can get a sense of an individual immediately. I truly enjoy sharing that experience with their owners!

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We may start with a phone call to set up a Meet-and-Greet. From there, we discuss goals, responsibilities, frequency of care, and whatever the customer feels comfortable with!
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
For three years, I worked at PetSmart; they taught me about excellent customer service, passion for what you "do", and loyalty.
I volunteered at the Philadelphia Zoo for a period of time. I learned what it took to work under pressure, as well as handling exotic animals.
As for training, I have always lived with dogs and cats. I definitely learned responsibility!

How did you get started in this business?
I always knew I wanted to work with animals. It's a dream of mine to own an animal shelter, and help as many as I can! It wasn't until I heard of Wag! that I could get my foot in the door by making Dog Walking as a career. Since then, I help out each family, little by little, in caring for their pets while they are in or out of their home. Every little piece of help counts!
What types of customers have you worked with?
Throughout my life, I have experienced many different personalities. The beauty is building long lasting relationships with people. You never know who may cross your path; it's important to treat each individual and pet with respect and kindness.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
A customer that I've met through Wag! was extremely kind. She asked why I walk through an agency- I told her I had no idea I could it any other way! She is one of the most generous and humble individuals I've met. She is now someone who means very much to me, and I still get to walk her pup all the time! Because of thus remarkable woman, I'll forever be grateful for the life I live now.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
Always ask to meet in person!
