My dog, Beau, has been working as my play-date assistant here in Portland, Oregon from the beginning! We not only provide personalized walking and sitting services, sometimes, we get friendly groups of dogs together for “pack” outings including hiking and swimming. My favorite thing about dog walking and sitting is that it is a beautiful exchange of equal energy, where we all maximize on each other’s best interests. My dogs and I nourish each other, simultaneously, through my care for them. When out on walks, we get our blood pumping, cleansing our bodies, minds, and auras; increasing our endorphins and overall health. When dog sitting, I get to express the mother energy in me and take care of a home and those in it 😍 My work keeps me in the moment. I love to soak in all the precious moments that my dogs create while attuning to their needs and wants. Even the “negatives” about my work, (sometimes handling intense encounters while walking my dogs), satisfy my love for challenges and staying on my toes. They keep me in line, and I keep them in line 😉 It’s a win-win!

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I like to start with a Meet&Greet. After meeting with the dog and human inside the home, I get them leashed up before we all take a 5min walk together. If there are no major issues, we schedule our next walk and get right into it as soon as possible. If there are major issues, we evaluate and figure out the best next step.
That being said, most of my clients skip the Meet&Greet and jump right into our first walk, which is also perfectly fine!
