Follow project with client from conceptual design thru to final construction. Assist in Contractor selection, use structural engineers and other consultants as required for the project.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I meet with the client, visit the site an discuss the clients' needs. Then develop a contract describing the work process, dates of completion and work to be done. Then begin with preliminary design schemes, have a contractor estimate the preliminary scheme. With approval of the budget and the design, then prepare contract documents for building permit, final estimates and contractor approval. We follow the project thru on an as needed basis until completion.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a Bachelor of Architecture (5 years) from Kent State University. I am registered in the State of Ohio and complete 12 hours continuing education each year to maintain my license. My firm, ann m. dunning, aia. inc is a registered Architectural Firm with the State of Ohio.
I have practiced as an architect for 54 years and have been Owner of my own firm for the past 40 years.
