I have always had a passion for designing and building. Whether it be interior/exterior design or landscaping design it has always been a dream of mine to make this my lifelong career. I love to take a blank sheet of paper and use nothing more than my creativity and imagination to design different things from motorcycles to homes. Most of my enjoyment comes from the results of my finished product. Seeing the before and after of a project and how much justice the revitalization process has done. But there is nothing more rewarding than seeing the joy and satisfaction that emanates from my customers as they see the progress and the end result.

● NCCER Certification- The National Center for Construction Education and Research develops standardized construction and maintenance curricula and assessments with portable credentials. NCCER's Registry System also assists craft professionals by maintaining their records in a secure database.
● OSHA 10 + OSHA 30- "OSHA 30" is the Outreach training intended for those with supervisory duties, including safety directors, forepersons, and field supervisors. OSHA Construction training is required if you’re a construction worker or a contractor. OSHA includes all work for construction, alteration, repair, painting, and decorating in its construction category.
● HVAC Excellence Award- This is the highest certification received when technicians become certified at the professional level or the master specialist level.

How did you get started in this business?
I grew up shadowing my grandfather, a (ret.) renowned architect of 52 years. In the 1990s CAD became widely used by architectural and engineering firms all over the world. While many architects converted to these CAD programs my grandfather, having used pencil, paper, a T-square, and a drafting board since the 1960s, was one of only a handful of architects that was still producing hand-drawn construction documents.
While being an architect was his career, he also owned a woodworking business where he would create and build wood crafts and my grandmother would paint them. His other hobbies would include landscaping/hardscaping, creating flower arrangements, and being an avid arborist. This is where my love and passion for the industry evolved.
I was always amazed by the talent he had and how beautiful and flawless his projects would turn out and I was fortunate enough to be gifted with these same talents. I was always very mechanically inclined and enjoyed designing and building things such as large-scale landscape structures- koi ponds with waterfalls and fountains, custom fences and treehouses, retaining walls, patios, etc. But my real passion was with houses. I loved taking neglected homes and bringing them back to life.
I made it possible to pursue my dreams by staying focused and educating myself as much as possible. I began working for my father's construction company at just 12 years old and continued working for him and mastering the trade from that point on.
After many years of education and work experience, I chose to start my own company. Since a child, this has been my dream and while it has had its struggles, I still strive each day to learn from my mistakes, grow, and be better than yesterday. My commitment is to my customers and to provide them with quality service and an experience they won’t regret.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
● Do your homework before even calling for estimates
● Make sure they have plenty of experience with area of interest
● Ask for references and pictures, and read reviews to ensure they communicate well, start and finish in a timely manner, exhibit any unprofessional behavior, etc.
● Request itemized estimates to avoid overcharging and/or hidden fees
● Make sure they are bonded, insured, and licensed to perform the work if required.
● Check out local small business owners as they will often provide you with the best rates and are, most generally, humbler and more appreciative than the big-name companies and strive to always provide quality work as this is their way of life.
● Avoid contractors requesting the entire job costs up front and/or only accepting cash
● Avoid contractors that pressure you into making fast decisions
● ALWAYS secure a contract and read it thoroughly
● Make sure they obtain proper building/work permits
