About

OUR BACKGROUND AND COMMITMENT...

ReVitalize Design & Remodeling Contractors is a small family-run employee-owned organization established in 2008. We are a design-build general contractor providing services in residential, commercial, and industrial construction. Originally based in a small town in Southern Ohio, we decided to relocate to the Dayton area to promote growth, breathe some new life into the area’s construction industry, and create a door for opportunity- not only for business but to alleviate some of the overwhelming difficulties of securing a quality reliable contractor.

With extensive knowledge in the industry combining 7 years of tradesman schooling with 25 years of hands-on field experience, our services are incomparable. We pride ourselves on carrying out the qualities and standards on which our company built its foundation, and we strive to exceed your highest of expectations. But we don’t expect you to just take our word for it. Instead, we guarantee it by backing all our work with our 10-Year Workmanship Warranty!

When you hire ReVitalize Design & Remodeling Contractors, you’re getting more than your typical “run of the mill” contractor... You're getting everything you should be getting and everything our competitors don’t give.

● Safety, Organization, and Cleanliness... We care about the safety of our customers and employees, so we make sure to always keep safety a top priority. In addition to this, we know you take pride in your yard, and we take pride in our professionalism, so we always maintain a clean and organized work environment.

● Authenticity, Creativity, and Quality... Our services evolve from 3 generations of skilled craftsmen who all share a genuine passion and love for what we do. It’s more than a job; it’s our life. Gifted with a sharp eye and attention to the finest of details, we go the extra mile to add the special finishing touches that give our work its uniqueness and signature notoriety.

● Transparency and Honesty... Because we truly value your business and understand the meaning of hard-earned money, we want to make sure you know exactly where your money is going, and you’re not being overcharged. Not to mention the inconvenience of being surprised with a bunch of unforeseen fees! To ensure this we provide you with a simple, itemized estimate with NO HIDDEN FEES!

● Communication... Tired of confusion? No call/No shows? Delayed responses? Or no response at all? Communication is key for us. We value your time, questions, suggestions, and concerns. When you call, text, or email we answer within the hour. We also communicate well as a team to ensure minimal to no confusion throughout the process of your project to prevent inconvenience, delays, and even additional financial expenses and setbacks.

● Time Management... We know all too well that there just isn’t enough time in a day. So, we value your time just as if it were our own. We understand you have expectations as to when you would like your project to be started and completed and we commit to doing our very best to meet these at all costs.

● Budgeting and Financing... We know that sometimes things happen unexpectedly and sometimes at the worst possible times and keeping your finances in order is important. So, we commit to utilizing all available resources to keep your project costs as low as possible by comparing prices, offering discounts where we can, and even offering payment options whenever possible.

● Our Commitment to Quality Craftsmanship... We believe that your hard-earned money should buy you quality craftsmanship, integrity, longevity, and an aesthetically pleasing finished product and something you and your family can enjoy for yours to come. So, our commitment to you is to deliver just that. And, just to stretch your hard-earned dollar a little further we stand behind our work with a 10-Year Workmanship Warranty!

I have always had a passion for designing and building. Whether it be interior/exterior design or landscaping design it has always been a dream of mine to make this my lifelong career. I love to take a blank sheet of paper and use nothing more than my creativity and imagination to design different things from motorcycles to homes. Most of my enjoyment comes from the results of my finished product. Seeing the before and after of a project and how much justice the revitalization process has done. But there is nothing more rewarding than seeing the joy and satisfaction that emanates from my customers as they see the progress and the end result.

Forewarning Im not the best at typing so please excuse any spelling or grammatical errors! Owner Justin was great!I have become quite the skeptic because customer service and quality just isnt like it was 20, 30, 40 year back.
But I chose this contractor cause His initial email stood out and was very informative, professinal, and well spoken. And very fast response time. He cold sense my skepticism so he provided us with an abundance of credentials from electrical, property management and construction design license and certifications, several awards hes achieved, copy of insurance, simple but effective contract and references, receipts, the whole nine.
Communication is huge to me and he was very attentive, knowledgeable, listens very well, and made sure to deliver exactly what i requested.
My only complaint for giving- 4 stars- wasnt directed towards Justin. It was cause a guy working for him was on his phone a lot when Justin wasnt looking but I made justin aware of this and he dealt with the issue immediately and we had no more issues.
Would definitely recommmend his services. Im glad to provide reference and any questions (937)583-3100

I hired Mr. Dunn to troubleshoot and replace an electrical nightmare! This young man did a fine job removing all outdated wiring and installed all new wiring, led lighting, outlets, sound system, and a 8 camera surveillance system throughout my 2-car garage and man cave (inside and out). His rates for electrical work were slightly higher than others. However, as some of the cleanest electrical work Ive seen it was well worth the investment. Very well organized! All wires/connectors were routed very neat, clearly labeled, and up to code. Very professional, well-mannered, and intelligent. This young man worked day and night to get this completed as quickly as possible for me. -July 2021
I called Mr. Dunn 3 weeks later to have my cameras adjusted. He came out and adjusted my cameras free of charge.

***** 5 STARS! GREAT SERVICE! FAIR RATES! PROFESSIONAL! The only area I can see that needs improvement is he needs some more workers. I was Justins first customer in 2019 and he attracted a ton of work from my job. I hired him again to replace my garage roof 1 month later and he was booked out for 3 months but he still managed to work me in on a weekend and got my job done! And, he was still working alone! Poor guy was exhausted working 7 days a week from daylight to dark just to keep up. He was having a difficult time finding workers due to the pandemic but he managed to do the jobs himself and still finished in a timely manner. I would strongly recommend using ReVitalize Design & Remodeling!

    Frequently asked questions

Once we receive an inquiry for an estimate we will:

Schedule an onsite assessment to acquire the necessary information we need to provide you with an estimated timeline and an estimate.

After the initial assessment we will begin the designing process if any, and then prepare and submit an estimate to the customer.

If our estimate is accepted, we will prepare a basic contract and go over this with the customer to answer any questions or concerns they may have and make any necessary alterations if needed.

Finally, we will schedule to begin your project for the next available date.

    TRAINING, AWARDS, AND QUALIFICATIONS...

NCCER Certification- The National Center for Construction Education and Research develops standardized construction and maintenance curricula and assessments with portable credentials. These credentials are tracked through NCCER’s Registry System which allows organizations and companies to track the qualifications of their craft professionals and/or check the qualifications of possible new hires. NCCER's Registry System also assists craft professionals by maintaining their records in a secure database.

OSHA 10 + OSHA 30- "OSHA 30" is the Outreach training intended for those with supervisory duties, including safety directors, forepersons, and field supervisors. This 30-hour course covers a more extensive range of topics, as supervisors need to know the rules for everyone working under them. OSHA Construction training is required if you’re a construction worker or a contractor. OSHA includes all work for construction, alteration, repair, painting, and decorating in its construction category.

HVAC Excellence Award- This is the highest certification received when technicians become certified at the professional level or the master specialist level.

Our prices are determined by several different factors. Most projects, such as decks, flooring, painting, landscaping, etc are priced by square footage. Other projects, such as fencing is priced by linear footage. And other projects, such as electrical, logistics, and more complex projects are priced by the hour. However, no matter the project we do offer very competitive price points with all rates falling equal to or below the area's average.

I grew up shadowing my grandfather, a (ret.) renowned architect of 52 years. In the 1990s CAD became widely used by architectural and engineering firms all over the world. While many architects converted to these CAD programs my grandfather, having used pencil, paper, a T-square, and a drafting board since the 1960s, was one of only a handful of architects that was still producing hand-drawn construction documents.

While being an architect was his career, he also owned a woodworking business where he would create and build wood crafts and my grandmother would paint them. His other hobbies would include landscaping/hardscaping, creating flower arrangements, and being an avid arborist. This is where my love and passion for the industry evolved.

I was always amazed by the talent he had and how beautiful and flawless his projects would turn out and I was fortunate enough to be gifted with these same talents. I was always very mechanically inclined and enjoyed designing and building things such as large-scale landscape structures- koi ponds with waterfalls and fountains, custom fences and treehouses, retaining walls, patios, etc. But my real passion was with houses. I loved taking neglected homes and bringing them back to life.

I made it possible to pursue my dreams by staying focused and educating myself as much as possible. I began working for my father's construction company at just 12 years old and continued working for him and mastering the trade from that point on.

After many years of education and work experience, I chose to start my own company. Since a child, this has been my dream and while it has had its struggles, I still strive each day to learn from my mistakes, grow, and be better than yesterday. My commitment is to my customers and to provide them with quality service and an experience they won’t regret.

Do your homework before even calling for estimates

Make sure they have plenty of experience with area of interest

Ask for references and pictures, and read reviews to ensure they communicate well, start and finish in a timely manner, exhibit any unprofessional behavior, etc.

Request itemized estimates to avoid overcharging and/or hidden fees

Make sure they are bonded, insured, and licensed to perform the work if required.

Check out local small business owners as they will often provide you with the best rates and are, most generally, humbler and more appreciative than the big-name companies and strive to always provide quality work as this is their way of life.

Avoid contractors requesting the entire job costs up front and/or only accepting cash

Avoid contractors that pressure you into making fast decisions

ALWAYS secure a contract and read it thoroughly

Make sure they obtain proper building/work permits
