We chose the 3 week board and train option for our English bulldog, Finnegan. Jeff and the WMK9 team are awesome to work with!! Finn is very stubborn and was unfocused. Jeff really understood our needs and concerns. Finn has learned so much and we cant wait to continue our training with the walking class!! I cannot say enough positive things about WMK9!!!

In November we took a 16 month old Australian Shepherd to keep him from being sent to a shelter. We quickly realized that he was housebroken and crate trained but that was it. Harry was very sweet, but he was a 55 pound puppy with no manners or boundaries. I contacted Jeff, and he was able to come to our rescue and begin training within a few days. The first session, Harry responded to Jeff immediately. Jeff showed us how to work with Harry in the home sessions, which was very helpful and gave me the tools to work with Harry. Since we already had a 14 year old Shih Tzu and three cats and Harry was rambunctious, we decided the more focused board and train would be best. We picked Harry up this week from his four week board and train, and her is now much better behaved. We were amazed at his transformation. He has an overall calmer demeanor - he has not jumped on anyone, he will stay in place on his cot, he will stay wherever I put him when Im cooking, and he will sit at the door when I take my other dog out without trying to run out. He also walks with a loose leash the majority of the time. I no longer worry about him pulling me down the street or him getting away from me. We will be using Well Mannered K9 for any future training (we are already signed up for Snout and About), doggie daycare or boarding needs we have. While Harry was training, he also made friends and had play time, and it was obvious he was well cared for. I highly recommend WMK9!

Two sessions with Jeff and my dog is more confident and comfortable with new things. Prior to WMK9, Nash was afraid of everything, everyone, and anything new in his environment, including his Chewy box. But with the work Jeff did and the tips he gave me, Nash got in the car for the first time since he was a pup. And he got to enjoy the park today. I’m so happy for him and thankful to WMK9 for helping us through this process.

Jeff is the kindest person, and my dogs absolutely love him, even my fearful one! A dog trainers job is pretty much to train the person, not the dog, and Jeff sure taught this old dog owner some new tricks! I have been rescuing pitbulls with behavior issues for 25 years and have trained my fair share of dogs. This most recent go around I had two seniors that passed away in a short time period, so I adopted two young pitbulls with some behavior issues the very same week! Jeff has been a godsend to our pack! One of the most important things I have learned is how to properly communicate with my dog. I was talking to my dogs WAY too much! Jeff showed me when to use commands, in what order, and when to not use the command at all! He taught me how to correct appropriately using a few different techniques.
I thought I would share some key life wins that have happened throughout the course of our training that completely blew me away:
    - McGriff and Riley will lie in place when guests come through the door and wait until I release them to greet the guests. This means that my 5 tall, 70-year-old mother doesnt have to be greeted by 130lbs of pitbull pawing and kissing her the moment she comes through the front door!
    - I can put them in place and do yoga! Yep, you heard me right, I can lie on the floor and have them NOT climb all over me. I can release them to me for treats between poses and then direct them back to their places without moving from where I am sitting. Now, instead of me just yelling at them to get off me, we have a fun game they play AND I get to do yoga without being trampled by 130lbs of teenage pitbull!
    - I can open my back gate or front door without worrying about them bolting or slipping past me to run around the neighborhood. This is huge for their safety and my peace of mind.
WMK9 just opened a new facility so I cant wait to bring the babies there for more training and other care. Couldnt be happier with our results or recommend them enough!
