My wife & I are relatively new in the NKY area, and Well Mannered K9 was recommended to us by a colleague. Our experience with Jeff has been fantastic, and we are so grateful to be working with him.
We just completed the 7-day board & train program for our 10 month old goldendoodle. Jeff made sure to be realistic with our expectations, as 7 days is the shortest board & train option offered, and made sure we were aligned on the expected results.
Even though we still have some work to do in the follow up sessions, the difference with our puppy after just a week has been impressive. Jeff worked with him on door control, loose leash walking, and overall composure. When we brought Becker home from WMK9, it was clear how effective the week with Jeff had been. My wife is pregnant with our first child, and after spending the time with Jeff, we are much more comfortable with Beckers demeanor as we look to introduce a baby to our home in the next few months.
Overall, the experience has made it clear that Jeff is a professional capable of forming bonds with the animals, and that he takes a lot of pride in his business. We are very grateful to have worked with Jeff, and could not imagine going elsewhere for future training/boarding/daycare needs. I cannot think of a single thing Jeff could have done to improve the experience - overall excellence across the board.

Hoagies only been in for two sessions and I can already notice an immediate improvement! He used to have trouble barking at dogs and pulling on his leash, but as soon as we walked out he passed by three dogs without barking or pulling! Jeff and his staff are amazing. Would highly recommend to anyone looking to train their dog!

We chose the 3 week board and train option for our English bulldog, Finnegan. Jeff and the WMK9 team are awesome to work with!! Finn is very stubborn and was unfocused. Jeff really understood our needs and concerns. Finn has learned so much and we cant wait to continue our training with the walking class!! I cannot say enough positive things about WMK9!!!

In November we took a 16 month old Australian Shepherd to keep him from being sent to a shelter. We quickly realized that he was housebroken and crate trained but that was it. Harry was very sweet, but he was a 55 pound puppy with no manners or boundaries. I contacted Jeff, and he was able to come to our rescue and begin training within a few days. The first session, Harry responded to Jeff immediately. Jeff showed us how to work with Harry in the home sessions, which was very helpful and gave me the tools to work with Harry. Since we already had a 14 year old Shih Tzu and three cats and Harry was rambunctious, we decided the more focused board and train would be best. We picked Harry up this week from his four week board and train, and her is now much better behaved. We were amazed at his transformation. He has an overall calmer demeanor - he has not jumped on anyone, he will stay in place on his cot, he will stay wherever I put him when Im cooking, and he will sit at the door when I take my other dog out without trying to run out. He also walks with a loose leash the majority of the time. I no longer worry about him pulling me down the street or him getting away from me. We will be using Well Mannered K9 for any future training (we are already signed up for Snout and About), doggie daycare or boarding needs we have. While Harry was training, he also made friends and had play time, and it was obvious he was well cared for. I highly recommend WMK9!

Two sessions with Jeff and my dog is more confident and comfortable with new things. Prior to WMK9, Nash was afraid of everything, everyone, and anything new in his environment, including his Chewy box. But with the work Jeff did and the tips he gave me, Nash got in the car for the first time since he was a pup. And he got to enjoy the park today. I’m so happy for him and thankful to WMK9 for helping us through this process.
