Fantastic experience. Very clean, climate controlled setting. Lots of videos and photos which comforted me that she was happy and well cared for and trained very well with great follow up instructions and equipment to maintain what she learned! I highly recommend it

I could not be more pleased with my WMK9 experience! Jeff was great to work with and had very timely communication maintained throughout my dogs 3-week stay. I could tell just by speaking over the phone that i had chosen the right training program for Hank. They uploaded photos and videos throughout the duration of his time there, which i was so thankful for! I really appreciated the in-home session following his drop off and am looking forward to continuing enforcing Hanks new habits and see him be the best dog he can be!

We had an excellent experience with Jeff, the owner of WMK-9. This was the second time he trained our dog, Bentley, we needed help with excessive barking and command recall. Jeff did an outstanding job — he completely resolved the issues and gave us the tools and confidence to continue reinforcing the training at home.
Jeff is knowledgeable, professional, and truly understands dogs and their behavior. Bentley came back calmer, more responsive, and we feel more confident to take Bentley out in public.

How did you get started in this business?
WMK9 was born out of hands-on work with nonprofit organizations and shelter dogs, where Jeff discovered a natural ability to communicate with dogs others struggled to reach. A respected trainer with decades of experience recognized that ability and mentored Jeff, helping shape the practical, results-driven training philosophy WMK9 is known for today.
What types of customers have you worked with?
WMK9 works with a wide range of dog owners—from first-time puppy owners to experienced handlers. We regularly help families, working professionals, seniors, and multi-dog households, as well as clients dealing with leash pulling, reactivity, anxiety, aggression, and general obedience challenges. Many clients come to WMK9 feeling overwhelmed or frustrated, and are looking for clear structure, reliable results, and long-term support.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
A recent event we’re especially fond of involved a dog who came to WMK9 as a last resort due to aggression in the household and toward new people. By the end of training, he was calm, relaxed, and able to safely coexist with his family and visitors. Watching that transformation—and knowing it gave the dog another chance in his home—was incredibly meaningful.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
Look for a trainer who emphasizes structure, consistency, and owner education—not quick fixes. Read reviews to see real client experiences, especially with dogs similar to yours. A quality trainer will be transparent about their methods, prioritize safety, set realistic expectations, and provide guidance so progress continues long after training ends.
