Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
When taking on a new boarding client, I first have a meet and greet to see if your dog is compatable with our four dogs. Your dog must be dog savvy and up to date on all medical needs.
Training clients I'd like to meet at the owners home to watch normal behavior patterns to help assess any issues.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am a member of the NDGAA, APDT, NAPPS.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.
MY BOARDING FEE IS $45/day. Grooming prices start at $40...depending on breed.
How did you get started in this business?
My love of dogs led me to this career. I started at a private doggy boarding kennel as a kennel worker then became the kennel manager. Later I was taught by a well known licensed groomer and top Poodle breeder to groom every pure bred or mixed breed properly.
What types of customers have you worked with?
I have worked on all breeds of dogs in my grooming and training career. I have shown dogs also. I am very fortunate to have gained such extensive and knowledgeable experience through out my 41 years in my career.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I enjoy fostering puppies and or litter of puppies for many of my areas shelters and private rescues.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
Look for an actual hands on experienced individual when looking for a professional in the dog field.
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
Besides the fee(s) involved, what experience will the professional be bringing to the client that will help assess the dog?
