HAB Training
About
Hi,
My name is Hanna. I am Fear Free Certified professional and member of the Pet Professionals guild with over three years of professional pet care experience. I believe that pets are a part of our family and should be treated as such, but just like every child has their own needs so do our pets. I love sharing my knowledge with with owners, and helping them better understand the social and emotional needs of their pets.
In addition to training I am also a student in the Medaille Rochester vet tech program and am due to take the VTNE later this year. Afterwards I plan to continue my education by becoming a veterinary technician behavior specialist. All together I have about 4 years of professional pet care experience.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Before we start training I do a 30-60 min consultation where we set training goals ad do a quick behavior history. Afterwards I send you a summary with a training plan and we go from there.
The cost of the consult goes toward the cost of training if you decide to proceed.

I am a veterinary technician student working to become a veterinary technician behavior specialist
I am a lvl 3 fear free certified professional
I am a member of the pet professionals guild
Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.
General obidience starts at $60 per session (puppies and adults)
Behavior modification starts at $80 per session (puppies and adults)
How did you get started in this business?
I feel like "I've loved animals every since I was a little kid" is such an overused response, but I really did. I wanted to be a vet tech since I was younger but life took me in weird direction. Once I started schooling I fell in love with behavior and the magic of the human animal bond.
What types of customers have you worked with?
Most of my customers are puppy owners who are feeling overwhelmed and need help making sure that they are raising a happy and healthy pup.
My favorite clients are the anxious dogs who I get to teach how to feel safe in the world.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
Each time a dog is strugling with a new behaior and I find a way for them to "get it."
They are always so proud of themselves.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
Every dog is different and learns at a different pace. I can't gaurantee a 180 turn around in a single session and I don't recommend trusting anyone who does.
Expect to put in a lot of work and see gradual results, with occasional sudden bursts of progress.
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
What are your goals for training?
Try to phrase them as positives, rather than "I want my pet to stop jusmping" "I would like my pet to keep 4 feet on the ground when people come over"
How much work outside of class are you willing to do?
