About this pro

My work is high-style, but not high budget. It's never a cookie-cutter "look". Instead, my approach is tasteful, not-fussy, easy--yet high-end looking, casual chic. We go through many photos and color palettes to understand what each client wants.  I have almost 15 years experience total, 10 in residential and 5 years in commercial design, with a degree from NYC's Fashion Institue of Technology.  My clients range from celebrity to millenial-on-a-budget and I enjoy each and every job... & the client's have fun too.

I love being able to transform a space and sometimes on a very small budget. Big or small budget it's all fun. It's simple if you have great sources like I do, and know where to shop and what items that give you "the most bang for your buck".  Also, getting to know the client's pesonality if a lot of fun.  I can bring their personality into the space so it looks and feels like they live there, not "decorated" by a stranger. I like to bring the   the best part of them to the space. Playing with color and texture is also fun!

Working with Roberta at Stylelinx was an amazing experience! I thought I could renovate my kitchen myself without a professional and soon found out it was a daunting experience. I hired Roberta, & she introduced me to beautiful tiles and stones and She’s a master with color and pattern selection and most importantly—she gave me the perfect layout for my cabinets & appliances! She’s Awesome to work with. Highly recommend!

I like Roberta’s warm yet airy style, and her ability to mix classic and new elements to reflect my taste. She also has an uncanny ability to find just the right piece—couch, pillows, art, rug, to name a few—to make a whole room.

I love this site. The photos and how she blogs about color and new ideas are really inspiring and very helpful. I get lots of ideas from this site either for colors to use in certain rooms or different ways to decorate. I really love seeing what she does in her own home. That's really neat.

FAQs

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

After a 45-60 minute complementary chat on the phone about what the client wants to accomplish and which room(s) they want to work on then we meet in person.  At the on-site visit I’ll look at their space, take measurements & look at photos from  my portfolio and from magazines to confirm the “look” or “style” they want to accomplish.  There's sometimes a small fee for this that is  credited back if they hire Stylelinx.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I’m a proud graduate of NYC’s Fashion Institute of Technolgy. The country’s premiere school for training in Interior Indesign. I’ve worked in that field for almost 15 years on residentail projects and also 2 years styling for magazines and Stylelinx has been featured in House Beautiful Magazine.

Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.

Every job is different, so once I speak to the client and get the scope of the job I can quote a price.
