FAQs

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

We have an in-depth conversation about their hopes and dreams for their new home, followed by a visit to the apartment or house. A project will take about a year to complete from start to finish, so communication and accessibility is key to the success of the project. We are very hands on.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I was trained as an architect, so I have a thorough understanding of how the architecture and interior design and furnishings need to come together to form a home.

Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.

The fee is 20% of the cost of the project with a $20,000 minimum design fee.

How did you get started in this business?

Working at an architecture firm in NYC, and taking on small interior projects.

What types of customers have you worked with?

Really wonderful informed clients who know kind of what they want, but they need help pulling it all together.

Describe a recent event you are fond of.

Seeing a client read to their kids after a day of work in their new living room.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?

Take your time selecting a designer - have several chats, and talk to previous clients.

What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?

The scope of the project, time frame and budget.
