Hello! My name is karina. I offer pet boarding services at my home. I’m a dog trainer offering training services to NY and NJ. I’d love to help you and your puppy with all your training needs. Training is not one size, fits all. In fact, training is one size does not fit all. No two dogs are alike. That’s why each training session is personalized for your specific dog and you. Our training is fun, balanced and effective. We want you and your dog to succeed as a team! The relationship between a dog and it’s owner is like no other. We want to help build that relationship even further with communication, trust and respect. I’ve shadowed under and trained under a couple of trainers. I worked in DCTk9 for a while, worked with working dogs, worked with a decoy for IGP, Fostered hard dogs and trained them. I went to WV to shadow a trainer for 2 weeks. I also went to cape cod where I stayed a week and shadowed another trainer. I worked for a breeder at one point. My job was to expose and raise puppies for a month. Pet puppies were exposed and prepared to go home to pet homes while sport prospect puppies had a competition OB foundation set down.
Being around dogs. I enjoy grooming and training them. I enjoy helping owners with their dogs and making dogs look and feel their best.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We will discuss what type of service you need. If you need dog training, we will talk about the issues you are having and what you would like to fix or teach. For grooming, the price depends on coat condition and how large the dog is.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I’ve shadowed under and trained under a couple of trainers. I worked in DCTk9 for a while, worked with working dogs, worked with a decoy for IGP, Fostered hard dogs (dogs with aggression issues) and trained them. I went to WV to shadow a trainer for 2 weeks where I learned different handling skills for working dogs vs pets. I also went to cape cod where I stayed a week and shadowed another trainer. I learned more In depth about subtle body language, and different types of approaches/tools that can be used for dogs. I also used to work for a Rottweiler breeder at one point. My job was to expose and raise puppies for a month. Pet puppies were exposed and prepared to go to homes with a basic obedience, while sport prospect puppies had a competition OB foundation set down.

How did you get started in this business?
My personal dogs introduced me to this and I love it. Wouldn't have any other way. I love being around them and just taking care of them. My favorite are nervous pups. I enjoy taking the time to be their best friends and having them slowly come out of their shells.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
Ask as many questions as you want! Don't be afraid. If they can't answer your questions, are dismissive, run the other way.
