Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We take the time to get to know the client and their pet. We want to know everything from the type of haircut to the perfect schedule for them. At Planet Poodle we understand that each pet is a best friend and valued family member, we want them to have a great experience and love to come to Planet Poodle
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Planet Poodle has been serving Monmouth County for over 25 years! The owner Beth Paynter-Magnetti has won some of the most prestigious grooming competitions in the US and England, including earning a postition on the US groom team, which represents the top 10 groomers in the country. All of our team has been trained and or mentored by Beth and many have also won prestigious awards. Our team has been extemely active in various parts of the industry for many years and that amounts to a world of knowledge when it comes to the care of your best friend. Whether your pet is an amazing rescue or a Best in Show, they will recieve equal devotion while in our care
Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.
We have a free evalutation with clients where we give pricing info.
What types of customers have you worked with?
Planet Poodle works with every type of client from our loyal client family, who has been coming for generations of pets, to the rich and famous.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
We participate in many dog shows and grooming competitions. Intergroom, Groom Expo, Westminster to name a few.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
This is an unlicensed industry, yes you heard that correctly. Sadly most unlicensed grooming schools take on students train them for 4 months and they are out working on your pets. Scary. When looking for someone in the industry you want true industry knowledge and many years of experience.
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
Clients should ask about the credentials, why they should become a client, and example of the procedures, pricing, timing, etc.
