Good Dog! Private Pet Grooming is a House-Call Dog Grooming service for small dogs (under 20 lbs) serving the UPPER WEST SIDE.
Grooming in your Home is less stressful than anywhere else.
Certified... I am certified by the New York School of Dog Grooming. I also hold a certification from the Red Cross in Pet First Aid.
Caring... I care about each dog I groom. I will try my best to make grooming a positive experience for your pet. I will take time to notice if there are any changes in the condition of your dog's coat, skin, ears, pads, paws, nails, etc. And I will take the time to tell you about it so it can be taken care of, if necessary.
I will be careful of any joint issues, arthritis, and any other special needs your dog might have.
I have over 10 years grooming experience. After years of grooming in shops, mobile dog grooming vans, in my home, and in dogs' homes, I have groomed most breeds, the young, the old, the feisty, the lazy, and the unusual dogs. All loved by someone. I can groom to breed standard, a puppy cut, a mohawk, or whatever kind of haircut you like - just ask.
I love dogs, meeting them, getting to know their personalities, and seeing them grow and mature. I also enjoy making them feel good and look good. I look forward to building a bond so that each dog trusts me.

I ask these questions to find out what the new customer needs:
1. Since I perform the grooming in the dog's home, where do you live? (Mostly, I groom dogs living on the upper west side)
2. What type of dog do you have (breed, weight, age)?
3. Does the dog have any special needs or health issues?
4. I bring everything I need to groom the dog except for a towel. I ask the customer to supply a clean towel.
5. I groom small dogs, in the kitchen sink and on the kitchen counter. Does your dog fit in your kitchen sink? I only need enough counter space for your dog to stand and turn around.

Full grooming includes bath, blow dry, ear cleaning, nail trimming, pads trimmed, sanitary trim, and hair cut. Anal gland expression if requested. Teeth brushing if you supply dental products. I ask you to provide a clean towel. I use kitchen sink and counter top.

Look at online reviews or ask to speak to existing clients. Look at photos online to see if the grooming I've done in the past looks like how you'd like your dog groomed.
