We groom one dog at a time. This is to avoid confrontation, stress and the possibility of spreading germs to one another. We are cage free.
Our focus is to bring the dog in a low stress envirement.
Miyoko has a grooming school certification, a Reiki one certification and completed the low stress handling certification.
I believe that the welfare of the dog comes first. Dogs should not be forced into something they do not enjoy, and through, trainning a understanding the dog's behavior the grooming process becomes more bareable for the dog.
Grooming a dog is very important for the welfare of the dog and his adoptive family.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
On our first contact I will ask for:
- The age of the dog
- Health issues
- Behavior issues
- Date of the last groom
- Actual coat state of the dog
I will then email a pet card requesting the pet's owner information as well as the pet's information (including, vaccines, vet's number etc...)
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
- Certified by the schooll of Animal Behavior
- Reiki I certified
- 2 years of hands on training in a groom shop
Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.
Small dogs full groom: $50
Medium dogs: $65
Big dogs: $85
A full groom includes bath, nail clipping, ear cleaning cut, for double coated dogs deshedding.
Pick up and drop off $10 to $20 depending on distance.
How did you get started in this business?
I grew up raising animals, dogs, cats, perrots. My love and wellfare for animals drove me in that direction.
I enjoy grooming dogs, it is a challenging process and also very creative. It is alway satisfying to see a dog walk out my shop all clean a pretty.
I feel that I have done my job once I educate my clients on the importance of brushing, avoiding matting and overgrown nails as these are very important to avoid for the welfare of the animal.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
Your dog is not a number. It is important that it is groomed in a stress free environment as grooming is not a spa day for them.
Bathing, drying, hair cut is a long process for a dog (up to 2 hours). Make sure you leave your dog in the hands of someone that understands this and who makes sure this process goes as easy and enjoyable as possible for your animal.
