Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Ussally a phone convosation regarding location, such as if their moving from a apartment building that has rules regarding moving to or from site with time frames to start the process . Also if there's any walk ups involved in job.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Started as young man in the early 90s doing furniture deliveries for a big furniture business in N.Y. so im proficient in wrapping and loading the merchandise in a well and professional manner, I am a very careful and experienced truck driver with a class B commercial license . My work speaks volumes.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.
Like all Moving Companies there's a system on pricing? Now depending on the job if your comfortable with how quick you can get the job done you can give the customer a flat rate, which is beneficial to both parties involved. Or you can charge by the hour? Also this would probably benefit the mover in most cases because more than likely it's probably a longer job involved and would require more men on site.
How did you get started in this business?
Started as young man in the early 90s.doing deliveries for a furniture company, going from long island Ny to the 5 boros and into New Jersey Connecticut , Pennsylvania and Maryland. Started as a helper for a independent contractor and eventually started driving their trucks for higher pay. Till I became a contractor myself a few years later.
What types of customers have you worked with?
You name them, I've been to their homes" from millionaires to the middle class to the very poor. All types of personalities. From entitled to the very humbled. Interesting bunch.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
We're not all alike" unfortunately there's a group of sharks out there that feed on the ignorance of the masses concerning prices and so-called professionalism. I say to them get different quotes and ask questions regarding insurance for any accidents that may occur during a move job to your home and merchandise. And for any 2 man job the job shouldn't cost over 125 an hour if it's a easy job always request a flat rate.
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
Get free estimates from 2 to 3 companies before you commit to any one of them. Also on how long the move should take and how much it should cost on their estimate, and ask on how many men it would take to get the job done by the estimate timeframe. Sometimes it could get done a couple of hours earlier or go the other a couple over, never a precise time when it comes to moving.
