    Frequently asked questions

In general we love to meet in person, and get to know about our client and their needs in the most complex way possible. If the client desires support with developing a clear brief, we can definitely help in that process as well. Being awarded we orientate ourselves towards the typical phases of schematic design, design development, bidding and construction administration.

As for my education in the field of Interiors, I studied both, architecture and product design and worked prior to starting my own firm successfully for design legends like Patricia Urquiola, Piero Lissoni, Shelton Mindel and Peter Marino. With them as mentors I got excellent training in developing inspiring material schemes, functional floor plans, a unique knowledge about furnishing and furniture design and last but not least to manage projects of literally any scale.

In general we like to be very upfront and transparent about cost, and can also help establish a project budget. Having worked a lot in the commercial arena, we are used to determine our fees upfront, based on estimated time spent but also potential project volume. We rarely bill on an hourly basis after the fact and only if clients demand such approach. Our proposals are generally clearly written to discuss also eventualities, that would allow us to charge more than the predefined.

After working more than 10 years under the umbrella of well respected, world famous design companies, we initially, after our own design lab launch, received trust in the residential world from family members. In the commercial sector we quickly found ground through reputation and accumulated knowhow, showcased in former jobs. With a fast growing portfolio we were then hired by company owners or fashion ceo's for their residential projects to turn full circle.

As just mentioned, we worked for company owners who care for their company image and appearance. In the residential world we often work for fashion oriented/ and design educated people. We like the challenge of working for customers that have their own taste and vision. And enjoy the collaboration.

We recently gave our retail client Chantecaille, a completely new look and feel for their retail enviroments world wide.

The spaces convince through their warmth and residential touch; that the company owner, Sylvie Chantecaille, hired us to also work on her private homes, inside and outside of NYC and to redo their head-offices.

I would say customers should reach out to service providers, that stylistically meet their taste or expectation for your particular project. They should take their time for the research when checking out the designer's profiles.

I think customers, should have a pretty clear idea, about scope/ timing and potential spending on their project.
