How did you get started in this business?
I've always loved homes and design. I started in Customer Service for a high-end builder in Southern California, then moved to Northern Nevada and worked for several other builders, taking all the best construction and interior detail business practices with me.
What types of customers have you worked with?
Customers ranging from small remodels, to whole home builds to luxury home builds, Window Covering sales to entire home funishings.
Describe a recent project you are fond of.
My most recent project I am fond of is a remodel we provided full services for. We took a home in Incline Village with really good bones and with the owner's input, turned it into a beautiful transitional space complete with Hunter Douglas and Conrad Window coverings, Century, Pottery Barn furnishings and more!
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
I would check their references. I would also suggest that usually a deal that is too good to be true is just that! I would also check with the Better Business Bureau and State of Nevada Contractor's Board to ensure their are no liens and/or infractions. Our construction company is White Sierra Construction, LLC
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
#1 What they are willing to spend, #2 All Desires for their construction project, #3 What can they do without should their desires surpass their budget.
