I meet with the client at their residence for a FREE one hour consultation to discuss their wants and needs, and how I work. I can design a space plan, or a floor with elevation plans, or renderings of those plans if needed. I ascertain the budget for that design or needed items.

There are many avenues which I can take depending on what is required -  finding those special items, or rearranging their existing furniture, or placing their art work and collections in the most advantagous manner- or designing their whole residence, one room at a time, top to bottom, with custom or chosen furnishings, -floor, window, wall coverings, bed treatments, etc., - or designing their remodel for a new kitchen or a new bathroom...choosing the appliances and fixtures, wall and floor coverings, and supervising the installation. i can design a Home office specifically designed to fit the client's requiements and budget.  I have excellent sources for indoor and outdoor furnishings, artwork, plants, and a reliable contacts for contractors, electricans, painters, plumbers, artisans, workrooms for drapery and bed coverings, etc. 

I am available for consultation at an hourly rate or a design fee for the interior plans, or a purchasing plan utilizing wholesale sources, with net pricing plus a slight mark-up of 20 -30% depending on the manufacturer and items for those items in the design plan. Custom designs are at the price quoted and are non cancellable.

I am a certified Interior Designer, graduating college with a degree in Interior Design, and practicing design for over 30 years in Nevada, California, and Florida. 

I also have my certification from the National Kitchen and Bath Association as a Kitchen and Bath designer.

I continue my education on what is current and in style by attending conferences, shows, and lectures, plus touring many factories of various products.

I work closely with architects, contractors, landscape designers, engineers, craftsmen and specialists in order to complete the project - on time - and to the client's satisfaction. 

As previousy discussed, I charge an hourly design fee for consultations, shopping trips, and accessorizing. 

I buy products at wholesale pricing from various vendors across the US, and charge the client an upcharge of 20 - 30% above the net price. ( Not the suggested retail pricing less a percentage, as markup on retail pricing varies) 

My custom designs for window, bed, floor, wall, and furnishings are at the price quoted. The plans are signed off  by the client and me, and are non cancellabe once the order is placed. 

I require a 50% deposit on all items to be ordered, and when the acknowledgement from the manufacturer states the ship date, an additional 25% is required, with the final 25% upon installation of the item(s).

I have loved working with fabrics, and rearranging furniture since I was a teenager. I have pursued a creative design education ever since. I have also traveled abroad studing the styles and designs of various cultures and masters since I was in college. 

My clients are quite varied, from many different backgrounds, cultures, and age groups. I design specifically for each client, no copycat or repetitive designs. Each client is unique with special needs, dreams, and budgets. 

I love going to the design marketplaces in various cities - The World Market here in Las Vegas is always exciting, with many beautiful showrooms and quality products. I attend the winter and summer shows, and enjoy seeing the new items displayed in each showroom. I often take my clients to these shows so they can see the variety and quality of the products they might be interested in purchasing.

Be careful to pick someone with an education and degree in interior design, not just a decorator with no degree and limited experience. 

Interview with that designer to see if your personalities mesh, and that you are on the same wave length, with similar ideas and goals for your interior space.

I suggest making a list of what is specifically required and desired for the spaces to be designed in your home. 

Collecting pictures from magazines or from the internet, and making notes as to why you liked each picture. This help the designer see your tastes, and preferences. THe more you can show and explain, the more the designer can visualize what you like and dislike. This is very helpful.

Be openminded and realistic regarding your financial budget for the project as pricing today is different than what was in the past. what is readily available and what is the time frame for  products, and what delivery and freight charges might be involved.  Your time frame for completion of the project should be discussed.
