What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We first visit their home and speak with the client regarding their ideas and style, assisting with ideas for them as well.
Furniture placement and space planning is the next step and then we decide on textures and fabrics with the client
Shopping for furnishings and making selections is the last phase before we begin placing their orders.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Bachelor of Science Interior Design. Teaching degree for Interior Design.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.
We work at our wholesale cost from manufacturers and add a percentage for all the clients purchases. This also includes our fees.
Our client's have loved this way of purchasing since they know the wholesale cost of items.
How did you get started teaching?
I became Dean of Women and an Interior Design/Merchadising Instructor at an Accredited Tech Academy.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
Make a list of all your questions before meeting with the designer. If you like them, as for some recent references.
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
If the client has a favorite style of design and favorite colors they should let the designer know. Also if the client has some "Inspiration Photos" that they have found to show the designer what interests them.
