FABULOUS! A word often overused, but not in this case. Brents designs reflect his attention to detail and keen editing eye. From proportion (precise), to fabric (sumptuous) to overall design aesthetic (your vision, his lifelong expertise and experience in bringing dreams to life) -- you wont find anyone better! Weve worked with him for many years and have never been disappointed. On the contrary, everything hes done for us has impressed beyond all expectations. Even more remarkable, each piece stands the test of time - in a room collection, or on its own. Refined. Beautiful. Unique. If you are fortunate enough to work with Brent, youll run out of superlatives too :)

I have worked with Brent for many years on several of my homes in Washington, DC, Alexandria, VA, Rehoboth Beach, DE and Miami Beach, FL.. He is truly a professional that takes great pride in his work. He has more than exceeded my expectations with creative and beautiful detailing of my homes. I like to buy and sell. I have always been able to sell my homes at top dollar even in less than perfect selling markets. I am convinced that the detailing of the houses has allowed me to sell them quickly. Furthermore, the buyer has always wanted to buy a lot of the furniture, much of which was difficult to give up. He is very honest, dependable and transparent. I can also say that the designs still looked beautiful and current many years after the work was completed.

Frequently asked questions

I normally meet a prospective client at their jobsite, which is typically their home.  We discuss their wants, needs, and their existing home.  It is always good if the homeowner has an idea as to the intended style they want to implement, as well as a general budget.

My design services menu includes architectural detailing, kitchen and bath design, as well as custom lighting plans. I also accept projects that involve decorating only.

My work has been published in international design magazines, coffee table books and classroom textbooks for interior design students. I have been quoted in publications ranging from Architectural Digest to The Wall Street Journal and was named “Outstanding Designer” by Art & Antiques Magazine.

Hourly fee only/No design fee or markups.  I sell all products at my wholesale cost, which is typically a 40%-50% discount from retail/list pricing.
