Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
First we come out to see the home or space and speak to the owner about their project and wish list. We then put together our architectural proposal, if the owner accepts we set up a day and time to measure the space. Once we have the existing conditions we start on the preliminary design. Once the client accepts the preliminary design we complete the construction drawings that are necessary for permits and for contractors to build from.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I hold a B-Arch degree from New Jersey Institute of Technology. I received my NJ Architectural license in 1998. I'm also a Certified Interior Designer in the State of NJ and NJ Professional Planner. I hold licenses to practice architecture in 29 States and Washington DC.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.
every project is different so give us a call and we will look at your project and give you our best possible pricing
How did you get started in this business?
My dad is a mechanical engineer and as a child I would watch him design HVAC systems and sometimes go with him to the offices of architects he worked with. I loved the idea of seeing a vision, drawing it and then being able to walk thru that space once it was built. I also enjoy being able to bring people's dreams for their homes or businesses to fruition.
What types of customers have you worked with?
We have worked with a range of clients from Fortune 500 companies, Municipal governments, to homeowners.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
It comes down to haveing a comfort level with the person you are working with. Check out the work and what you can expect to receive in terms of drawings. The lowest price doesn't always mean you will get the highest quality work. If in doubt ask for referrals from the professional.
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
what do they want to accomplish with their project. We can help offer suggestions and create spaces but we need to know what you want out of your space.
