    Frequently asked questions

On our initial phone call, we will discuss your objectives and motivations for your real estate transaction.  I will ask a lot of questions to fully comprehend your goals and provide feedback on how we can achieve them in the time required.

I've worked in the Real Estate Industry in many different roles for the last 15 years and each of those experiences has trained me for the various skills needed to be a successful Real Estate Agent.  I've been a Licensed Realtor in New Jersey for 5 years and I've been a Full-Time Agent for 4 years with Verdel Real Estate.

I have worked with renters, landlords, home sellers, home buyers, developers, and investors.

My advice would be to choose someone with experience in the transaction you're trying to accomplish. Some Agents mainly work with rentals so you wouldn't want someone like that to help you make an offer on purchasing a home or listing your home for sale.  If you're buying or selling, don't be afraid to ask questions ... this is one of the largest financial purchases or sales you will undertake in your lifetime so make sure you have someone who knows what you're trying to accomplish but also knows the local market well enough to represent you in the transaction.

If you're selling, ask the Realtor the following questions:

    1. How many transactions have you personally closed in the area?

    2. How long have you been an Agent working with Sellers?

    3. Do you know the market statistics such as Average Days on Market, Absorption Rate and Average Sales Price?

    4. Who will be involved in this transaction besides yourself?  Do you have an Assistant or Managing Broker who will also be involved in the Sales Process?

These are a good start to help you determine if you're interviewing someone who is an established Agent working with a reputable Company.
