Danny Dog Groomer

I usually book a new customer on a slow day so that i have more time to meet and get to know the dog rather then having to be in a rush . 

I am certified , went to the academy of pet grooming in 2012 .

Before that i worked as a pet grooming assistant along side of a master groomer  for 2 years before i decided to become certified.

I owned a grooming salon for 5 years before i decided to venture off and do the house call thing .which i love and prefer because the dogs have a better experience being in the comfort of their very own home .

Prices start at 70 depending on the condition of the dog and maybe the type of hair cut customers ask for . everything is included .clip the nails , clean ears, haircut and bath are all included in the price . some service requests are a little extra not much for example teeth brushing also anal glad expression. 

I dabble a little bit in dog training. But I do not charge . if you have any questions feel free to call me.  I'll guide you , talk to you ,let you know what to do pretty much either when I go to groom your dog or just over the phone.  I'll give you advice and or answer any questions you have . free of charge

Ive wanted to be a pet groomer since i was a kid .I used to play pretend dog groomer with my stuffed animals .One day After retiring from my EMT job , I was walking down the street and stopped at a petshop .Asked the groomer if he was looking for help .The whole thing started from there . Working in a shop as an all around helper/ assistant , Watching how everything was done i was inspired. My grooming career started from there . 

Ive worked with customers with all types of requests and with dogs that have all different types of health conditions even aggressive dogs . i may not groom overly aggressive dogs . 

Ive worked with very rich and very poor people .i treat everyone they same . every dog gets special treatment from my assistant and I.

I do all sorts of charity events . most recent was my doggy santa pictures event and halloween costume party for dogs . money goes to different shelters in the nyc area . 

Always ask to see credentials . ask to see proof that they are certified . there are alot of uncertified groomers out there that are not knowledgeable in first aide and cpr should there be an emergency . it is one of the first things we learn in grooming school . 

First question should always be .are you certified and for how long?.

Ask what kind of shampoo the groomer uses .

Ask the groomer if he or she is knolagable in anal glad expression. And or whatever type of health conditions your pet has if any . examples are ( blind dogs) (anxiety)( separation anxiety) (arthritis) ETC...
