Dog Trainer From Long Island

I give lessons/sessions in dog and parrot training. I both work with dogs and parrots and teach dog and parrot owners how to work with their dogs and/or parrots. I currently work at a pet store where I am in constant contact with dogs and birds and their owners. I have been in the pet industry for more than twenty years. My classes help dogs and/or parrots and their owners establish boundaries, understand obedience, solve behavioral problems, etc.

The dazzling world of aviculture shines like a gem in its philosophical suite. The birds speak the language of philosophical life. Amazon parrots chase after their victims like the Amazonian fighters in ancient Greece, the African parrots are named after antecedents that take place in ancient culture (e.g., the Poicephalus are named after Kephalos, say, at Plato’s Republic I.331E; lovebirds – agapornis – express the nature of birds that have agape, viz., some kind of familial love), the Alexandrine Parrot is actually named after Aristotle’s pet bird, the Catalinian macaw is a hybrid just like Cataline from Cicero’s Catilinarian Orations, the Hyacinth macaw is so named because it resembles narcissus in its self absorbed beauty and need to look at its self thinking itself blue, etc. Myth – or moths – plauges aviculture when there are seeds. Seeds are the stories that we have about a world, universe, existence that has lots of mythos – gypsey mythos, painted lady mythos, Indian mythos, monarch mythos, etc – to shun it from a world that can not participate in it. The seeds that we feed our avian companions provide stories that these birds reflect inherently in our conception of them. Aviculture is philosophical because it concerns entities that integrate our concepts just like a musical instrument is a tool for integrating concepts too. The avian subjects are integrating machines and integration requires at least philosophical hierarchy within one’s cognition. (Most philosophers had parrots and have been amazed by how they have speech, have language, are not too far from entities that are, by the species term, the differentia, sapiens!)
