I am a real person. I am not hiding behind fancy clothes, pretty presentations or a flashy car. I know what I am doing, I have the sales record and reviews to prove it, and I love what I do. You don't need another salesman in your life, but you do need someone who is passionate about their job, loves helping others, and who has been in the top 5% in the state for sales the last 3 years straight. I am honest and straightforward and I just tell it like it is. I am a good communicator and my clients appreciate the care and personal attention I give to each one of them. I am 6 years into a career that I envision lasting many more, and I am enjoying every minute.
Almost everything. I am so grateful to be in this business, and I like so many things about it. I like being my own boss, setting my own hours, and being able to run things just the way I want. I love serving people in something so important as the purchase or sale of a home, and being able to build relationships from the ground up with good people. Being able to travel around and see so much of this lovely state, and meet so many interesting people is a joy as well. I am thankful I can support my family while doing something that gives me so much pleasure.
David was such a great help! We had met during a chance encounter on the road when he pulled over to help me and my roommate who got stranded without gas. After that we reached out to have him help with our apartment search and he immediately found us multiple listings and scheduled us for a tour. David helped me purchase my new home in the Summer of 2020, which was a wild time to shop. Extremely competitive market with low inventory and fast turnover. I was relocating to the area from several States away and started working with David remotely. He was flexible and adaptable to ensure I see as many properties as possible in a short amount of time. He did a lot of foot work looking at inventory before I was in the area which was appreciated. He provided plenty of communication which is a critical element during such a competitive market. My purchase was also a VA purchase which had a few more hoops to jump though, which seemed like a breeze to David. David was fantastic to work with throughout the entire buying process when I bought my first pad this past month. He is extremely responsive and easy to communicate with. Excellent realtors have even more clients to juggle in this hot market, and David is probably part wizard, because you’ll never know just how busy he really is- you are treated as a priority every single step of the way. Questions were answered promptly and patiently, and I really appreciated that he never pressured or sugar coated anything, but rather provided expert guidance and insight. He landed showings for me at any home I wanted to see, and recommended some great strategies to employ in my offer that allowed me to get a leg up against multiple others. To start off, I usually do not write reviews unless the person or company I’m writing the review for goes above and beyond their duties and has exceeded my expectations. David has never failed to impress me. At first didn’t want to work with a broker since I felt like I knew everything that needed to be known when buying a home since I work in the real estate industry. Boy, was I wrong! I didn’t understand the value of having a real estate agent until we had David as our right hand man for this process. My husband and I started working with David back in November 2017 (so almost three straight years of him putting up with my husband’s lame jokes…sorry) We would have him show us a house here or there, but the market wasn’t the best and the right houses were not popping up. This year was “go time” though and David would set up appointments for us to see at least 2-5 houses a weekend every weekend since the beginning of summer no matter the location. His scheduling skills is impeccable by the way. There was no gap time between showings where we wasted our time waiting for the next showing. He gave us enough time to see each house and time to get to the other house. When he was at the showings with us, he would point out issues with a home that we would never have thought of to consider and gave us advice how to resolve the issue if we wanted to move forward. He was like a walking talking Google search of house knowledge. On houses we did put offers in, David did all he could to make our offers look as favorable as possible during these times of bidding wars and tried to contribute where he could as well to help us get our home. Of course, many times we were heartbroken when our office was not accepted, and even thought about holding off on buying a home. However, David was always positive and kept encouraging us that the right house was out there and always tweaked our offers to make it look better than the last one. And due to all of David’s hard work, dedication, and handholding throughout this long process, we got our forever dream home. So to summarize, if you want an amazing agent who will be there for you through the good times and bad times and will do anything in his power to get your dream home, David is your guy.
Depends on the client and their preferred style of communication. I like to be able to meet and chat for either a buyer or seller consultation, and make sure we are a good fit to work with eachother. Personality is a huge part of it, and is what most differentiates one agent from another, so making sure you get along is huge.
I have taken classes to learn how to better serve both buyers and sellers, and received designations from said classes. I have also taken a class on negotiation since a skilled negotiator can make all the difference in the world in this market where things are so tight.
Buyers always get served for free, since I get paid by the seller when I help a buyer make a purchase.
Sellers will have the opportunity to negotiate an appropriate fee with me. Veterans, first responders, teachers, nurses and firefighters will always get discounts, and I am proud to work with them to help them get where they want to go.
I fell into it. A family friend suggested I look into it, and I jumped in with both feet a month later. The rest is history, as they say. I am grateful to be able to say that I have been in the top 5% for sales in the state these last 3 years running.
All types, same as any agent. Every person is different, and has their own set of needs, wants and wishes that need to be addressed by the agent. It is all about listening to what someone is really saying and figuring out how best to serve them, no matter what their situation.
I took a young couple out on a showing, and Mrs. Buyer was actually crying as she walked around the home because she loved it so much. We had to fight to make that home theirs, and beat out the competition through a creative offer and lots of good communicating, but we got it done. The home is now theirs and they are thrilled.
As long as the agent has a few years of experience and at least a few dozen sales under their belt, they can do well enough at serving you most likely. But, again, it is mostly about personality. I might be a fantastic agent but be a lousy fit to work with a particular buyer who simply has a very different personality than I do. So don't just interview agents based on experience and sales history, but make sure you try to get to know them personally, and establish whether you like and trust them enough to give them the awesome responsibility of serving you in this hugely important transaction.
