I have been around pets since before I can remember! I've always had a passion for animals. I started working as a pet bather in high school, and went to grooming school the same week I graduated. I have been professionally grooming since, and I absolutely love it. I enjoy bonding with my favorite pets, and getting to know different families.
I also offer coloring, which I use a pet brand of dye called Opawz. It's all natural and 100% safe for any pet. Check out my Instagram for some of my work @carascolorfulcanines

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I normally would come in, and introduce myself with treats and soft words. I verbally go over the service and prices with you.
If your pet is aggressive, I would prefer to meet with the pet on a leash and in the lawn (or somewhere out of their territory), just so we can see if we would be able to work together.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I went through PetSmarts grooming academy and became a safety certified pet stylist! I have been with PetSmart for 3 years and spent two years at a little boarding place in Texas.
I worked at a couple salons in the Winston Salem area during the pandemic as well.
I attend regular seminars to improve my skills, and I follow up with fellow groomers.

Nails trimmed & filed- $35 for first pet/ $15 for every additional
My service will include a professional bath with premium shampoo and conditioner, blue berry facial, blow dry, nails trimmed and filed, teeth brushing, ear plucking and cleaning, anal glands expressed and full haircut.
small dogs- $85 (<20lbs)
medium dogs- $95(20-45lbs)
large dogs- $110-130(45lbs+)
How did you get started in this business?
My grandparents are into professional dog shows, therefore I have been taught the trade since I was a little girl. I knew I wanted to work in the dog grooming business since.
I attended business school and I have an LLC for my business now.
What types of customers have you worked with?
I have worked with all types of customers and every breed of dog. I enjoy all of them - to puppies, to the elderly doggies
