About
Not only do I perform interior design services, I have wonderful people who work with me with many years of experience, like me, to make your home, office or any space spectacular! In addition, I have a large showroom in downtown Wilmington filled with unique, unusual home decor items and very unique gifts. I sell North Carolina furniture, which is custom made and delivered in just a few weeks! I do not work out of my home or a small rented office space as some designers do - we are a presence! Our store is in an historic building with a hidden bank vault. It is an experience! Please visit my website to see our projects and our FaceBook page - I just completed two yachts as well! https://www.facebook.com/Manifest-Design-530318330352841/

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
There is an initial consult fee to come out and look at their project. I take pictures, measurements and notes about how they want to use the space or how they want to live in the space. An hour or longer conversation occurs so we can get to know each other and discuss their unique situation and ideas. It is all about what the customer wants to accomplish.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
B.S. degree in Design, and a minor in Art History. Twenty years of experience in designing spaces.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.
Except for the consult, the fees are on a case-by-case basis.
How did you get started in this business?
It was my area of study and then my degree in this field that got me started. Once my husband sold his company I started my Desing company and furniture, decor and gift store. The store is very different from anything else in Wilmington.
What types of customers have you worked with?
Customers in Landfall, Porters Neck, Brunswick Forest, Compass Point, the new Dell Webb project. I have just completed two yachts also. I have done alot of charity design work to help the community.
Describe a recent project you are fond of.
The entire gutting and redo of a 42' Bertram yacht. I was able to take a terrible, destroyed interior and build it back to a beautiful space that is now clean, comfortable and lovely to see and entertain in.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
Look at their work, interview them personally to make sure they will work well for you and design what you are looking for in a design project. Don't accept pushy behavior.
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
Collect pictures and samples of colors, finishes, etc. to give a designer an idea of what you like. Then let them guide you through the process. Need to see a body of work that has been performed.
