Renee Hillman-RE/MAX One Realty
About
Our philosophy is simple - Tailored Service with Exceptional Results. We don't believe in the status quo, we think outside the box & do things differently. It works as I am personally in the top 50 brokers here locally out of 9,000 & in the top 2% of RE/MAX Nationally. This is my 18th year in the business & we believe our clients are Kings & Queens, this is proved by our business that is 83% direct repeat or referral business. Outside of that education is always a key component, this business isn't stagnant and staying ahead of the curve is important. I maintain my Certified Residential Specialist designation which only 3% of REALTORS in the nation have - think of it as the MBA in Real Estate. We also advocate for your property rights on a federal & state level. Hillman Real Estate Group believes in our community & are stewards of it.
I could go on and on on this topic but the people, negotiations, the excitement of getting a home under contract, the long hours (ok kidding), but all in all it is very gratifying work. This is most folks largest investment & it deserves special attention.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We do a one on one meeting at your home to evaluate it properly to give you the most accurate assessment possible. At this meeting we typically walk thru our process, expectations & answer any questions you may have.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Lots - hands on is the most valuable with over 18 years experience as a top producing agent! Education is key even considering being a veteran in this field. I hold my CRS - Certified Residential Specialist (think of think like an MBA in Real Estate), only 3% of REALTORS obtain this. I also have my Certified Luxury Market Specialist designation - designed specifically for those of us that sell homes in the top 10% of our markets. The list is endless!
How did you get started in this business?
This is a crazy story but the jist of it was I have loved how houses have been put together for years - I think even going back to preschool days. The short of it is, I shocked everyone including my parents by rejecting all my corporate job offers coming out of college at NC State & jumped into sales two weeks after I graduated. Had no idea it would become what it is today but I am proud of the business I have built!
What types of customers have you worked with?
Oh gosh, all types - given we work with properties from 80k up to over a million, farms to downtown Raleigh condos, our client base is just as diverse!
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
Ask questions, understand that there are differences with each agent, just like doctors. Do your research before even contacting any agent - there is tons of information on line. You don't have to love the person you are working with, bottom line you want a broker that will get the job done & do it right! Make sure the person you hire has a process & the staff to help keep all the i's dotted & t's crossed. Attention to detail is key!
