I co-owned a retail shop that specialized in custom furniture painting, home decor and local art. I worked with lots of people over 16 years and found my true calling! I now have a showroom that features many of the same inventory, but more focus on interior design work.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I usually schedule an initial consultation to gather information on the scope of the project. Beyond that, I encourage the client to drive the perameters of the process and I provide soltions.

Sixteen years managing a retail business specializing in furniture upcycling, promoting local art and interior design services.

I have an hourly fee of $75 per hour. Initial consultation is $100.I always estimate hours required based on the size and scope of the project so there are no surprises for the client!
How did you get started in this business?
Opening a retail store allowed me to showcase my talents by featuring furniture and accessories. That grew into helping client's pull entire rooms (or entire home) together.
What types of customers have you worked with?
Every kind! No project is too small! I have also worked with restaurants, decorated offices as well as vacation homes.
Describe a recent project you are fond of.
I had the pleasure of working with a client starting in her first home with her fiancee, designed her wedding and her office as well. I felt like I had a great grasp on her style and helped her create an environments that reflected her. We have also become friends which is the biggest bonus!
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
Understand their pay structure...make sure you like working with that professional. Do they listen to your needs? Do you think they design specifically for each client or have a formula for all based on latest trends.
