At Clippin' Tails it is our promise to treat every pet like our own, and make them as comfortable as possible during grooming appointments. I, Gina, have been grooming for 10 years and have always had a strong passion for all animals. We strive for excellent customer service at every single visit as we want to not only get to know your fur babies, but also build great relationships with the pet parent. We take seasonal pictures of every pet that will allow us to get great pictures. We focus on the quality of the groom rather than quantity of grooms in a day. We offer 25% off of new customer groomings, and we offer 10% Military and First Responder discounts every day of the week. In 2020 we are going to open the doors to more creative grooming including but not limited to color, jewels, and a little bit of Asian Fusion grooming. I have just recently started accepting boarding pets and pet sitting, one thing about my boarding is your oet will not be left alone in my salon, they will be brought to my house at night and stay in the salon during the day. What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We always ask important questions about the pet (ex: health conditions and behavioral conditions).
We always want to make sure your dog is out in a timely fashion so we see if there are any specific time a customer needs their pet finished by.
We like to get to know the pet parent before taking the dog away because it gives the pet parent a since of security while their dog is in our care.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Certified groomer.
Veterinary Assistant Certificate.

Prices vary by services needed, coat condition of the dog, size of the dog, and any add on services (such as nail grinding, teeth brushing, and spa packages).
How did you get started in this business?
I started professionally grooming when I was 19 at Petsmart, I was a bather for 6 months and then was told that I would be trained as a groomer. I technically have been grooming since I was about 10 years old or 11 years old (groomed my Aunts dogs their whole life). I worked at Petsmart for two years and then went to another salon where I learned how to do some creative grooming and learned different techniques of grooming, this was also where I discovered that I wanted my own salon one day. I then left there and became a manager at Petco and I was a manager for two years. I then opened up my salon in October of 2019.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
Make sure they are passionate in what they do.
Check to see if they have a portfolio, even if it's just pictures on their phone of dogs they have groomed.
Everyone has their own style of grooming, nobody grooms exactly the same; so if you have something very specific please have pictures to help the groomer out. Different salons use differnt terms of haircuts.
